This specific one is the Diskit Monastery, the oldest and largest Buddhist monastery in Diskit, Nubra Valley of the Leh district of Ladakh.

The colors of Pangong Tso

Pangong Lake or Pangong Tso, is a high altitude lake in the Changthang plateau of Ladakh. Known for its mesmerising beauty, the lake displays an array of radiant shades of blue and green depending on the orientation of the sun.

With a total length of 134 km Pangong is one of the longest lakes in the world is shared between India and Chinese occupied Tibet.

It is quite amusing to know the the entire lake freezes in the winter and becomes solid enough for the army trucks to ply on them!
