The rolling club resembles the Indian clubs. Modified Indian Club to be precise. During the Raja & Maharaja period, Indian Clubs were extensively used for training the warriors. They used to fight with great strength and endurance. And they even used to have great metabolism. The warriors during the Puranic age, would engage in mace training, wrestling, archery and swordsmanship.
The warriors used to swing heavier versions (usually made with bamboo sticks, with a heavy stone attached to one end) behind their backs in order to strengthen their back, chest, shoulders, forearms & fingers.
Because of their rigorous physical and tactical training, Hindu warriors were considered as some of the fiercest of the ancient world.
We at Viva, leaving in the place, where maharajas lives, were very impressed by their workouts.
Indian clubs are becoming more popular amongst the western countries of late.
We came up with an idea of putting weights in the middle and the grips at the ends. Rolling club is a rare equipment made out of a wooden log. We can say, it is a modified Hanuman Ghadhe.
Due to the mid weight in the rolling club, we can comfortably lift it by holding the grips equally using both the hands, so that it is safe and doesn’t risk any part of the body.
It works on your Center of gravity and bring balance by aligning your mid line. Usually in ones daily activities, we lift weights in mid line, like lifting a cartoon box or a child.
The rolling clubs helps you work on several muscles simultaneously and strengthens the same.
The rolling club workouts is aerobic and high intense integral training rather than traditional weight lifting. The rolling club workouts provides improved mobility & range of motion, agility, cardio vascular endurance, mental toughness and increased strength.
It also tones your core muscles by re-establishing core functioning.
