Our Journey
On this International Yoga Day, I feel compelled to share our incredible online teaching journey. When the COVID-19 pandemic struck, forcing the world to pivot online, we too had to close our studio doors and transition to virtual teaching. Our dedicated students embraced this change, and what began as a temporary two-week adjustment seamlessly transformed into a two-year odyssey.
Initially, we faced challenges with online teaching, but we picked up very well over time. We are so glad to meet students from distant states and countries. So far yet so close. I really want to take this opportunity to thank all our students who made sure they spread a word among their circles about our online yoga classes. Grateful for having you all.
By the way this ritual of making a compiled video of students four years ago. This is our fourth video it feels amazing to see the same old faces and new faces together.
We cherish our vibrant yoga community, we have built over the last 7 years. Although we haven't been very active on social media as we barely get any extra time left in a day but we have resolved to share more knowledge and insights with everyone moving forward.
Wishing you all a very happy International Yoga Day. Let's pledge to feel healthy, eat healthy and sleep like a baby.

Prepare the body for yoga asanas by strengthening and toning the muscles + Power of breath (Pranayama and breath work).

Deep stretching followed by intermediate level yoga asanas (BKS Iyengar teaching methods) + Mudra Meditation and Yog Nidra.

Headache?
Here are a few remedies to reduce the symptoms of migraine and ease common headaches:
💠Forward Bend:
✅Begin with an inhalation and gently bend forward taking your crown towards the chair/table, place your head(crown) on a soft surface. Bend your knees to relax your lower back. Hold here for 2 to 3 breaths and very slowly release.
❌*Do not hold your breath at any point*
💠Third Eye Massage:
✅Place the base of your thumb in the space which in between your eyebrows. Move your thumb in a circular motion (clockwise & anticlockwise) for 3 to 5 counts. This will help in relaxing the nerves near your forehead - eye region.
❌*Do not press your thumb very hard. Keep the pressure mild*
💠Accupressure:
✅Squeeze your thumb and index finger together. This creates a slight bulge in the muscle between the fingers. The pressure point is at the highest point of the bulge. Press down on this point with your thumb.
❌*Do not practice in pregnancy*
Period Cramps? Follow these to ease pain.
🌸 WATER: drinking enough water can reduce bloating during period and thus ease the cramps.
🌸 MASSAGE: circular motion massage is my personal favourite. It improves blood circulation near the abdominal- pelvic region and allows the nerves to relax.
🌸 LIGHT YOGA: light stretching and basic yoga asanas can make you feel relaxed. Asanas such as butterfly pose, reclining butterfly pose, cobra pose etc might help in reducing the period pain.
🌸 SUGAR: while a hot chocolate brownie might sound delicious, food high in sugar, trans fats and salt can cause bloating and inflammation, which will leave you in cramps after a while. Instead be creative and make an all natural sugar desert for you or just have some fresh fruits or raw dark chocolate to beat your craving.
