“In the first three throws, I did not feel good,” Neeraj Chopra said. “My warm-up was not good. I felt something in my groin during the throw but I think it is OK."
“It was a good experience today. Also to throw with such wind, I learned something from this,” the Indian javelin ace pointed out. “After the qualification, I felt good and was thinking about the personal best but everyday is different and there were some complications. So, I am glad for my silver today.”

MP Jabir’s time placed him 31st among 36 athletes who started in the heats. The top four from each of the five heats along with the next four fastest made the cut for the 400m hurdles semi-finals.

At the 2019 world championships in Doha, MP Jabir made the semis with a time of 49.62s. He failed to make the final after he clocked 49.71s in the semis.
