In this video, Dr. Sumita Giri explains how to understand teenage behaviour beyond labels like attitude, laziness or misbehaviour. She shares how parents can identify the difference between normal teenage mood swings and a persistent change that may need attention.

The key is to look at the pattern not just one difficult day.

In this video, you’ll learn:

• When teenage anger, mood swings and the need for privacy can be normal
• How to identify concerning changes in teenage behaviour
• Why parents should observe pattern, duration and function
• How withdrawal, changes in sleep, concentration, friendships and studies can be important signals
• How to talk to a teenager who doesn’t want to open up
• Why emotional safety matters when communicating with teenagers
• What to do when your teenager feels stressed, overwhelmed or low
• Why motivation can also decrease when a child is struggling
• Why taking away the phone may not always be the right solution
• How to understand whether mobile phone use is a problem or a coping tool
• When parents should consider professional help or assessment

Gen Z kids ko hum aksar intelligent, tech-savvy aur fast learners kehte hain. But emotionally, they may need a very different kind of parenting.

Aaj ke digital age mein comparison, judgement aur constant correction bachchon ko improve karne ke bajay fear, anxiety aur emotional shutdown ki taraf le ja sakte hain.

Is video mein hum samajhte hain:

• Kyun emotional connection learning se pehle aata hai
• Comparison bachche ke confidence ko kaise affect karta hai
• Constructive aur destructive comparison mein kya difference hai
• Amygdala aur prefrontal cortex ka role kya hota hai
• Gen Z emotionally struggle kyun kar sakti hai despite being highly intelligent
• Comparison detox, progress journaling aur process praise jaise practical tools kaise use karein

Based on neuroscience, child psychology aur The Yes Brain Child, this video explores a simple shift in parenting:

Gen Z ko sirf discipline aur control se guide nahi kiya ja sakta. Pehle connection banani hogi, phir correction.

Because sometimes, bachche ko aur ek lecture nahi pehle ek safe conversation chahiye.

Apparently, I have an 80s version of myself too. 😄

A different era, a different look but perhaps the same personality underneath.

AI trends can be fun when they give us a chance to see ourselves a little differently. ✨

Har parent ke mind mein ek common concern hota hai - “Mera child itna screen time kyun spend karta hai?”

Hum aksar child ke mobile phone use ko problem samajhkar kehte hain, “Phone rakh do,” “Reels mat dekho,” ya “Family ke saath time spend karo.”

Lekin shayad humein sirf screen time se fight karne ke bajay, uske peeche ki need ko samajhna chahiye.

Aaj ke children ke liye phone sirf entertainment nahi hai. It can be their friends, learning, communication, information aur kabhi-kabhi unka escape bhi.

Aur jab hum child ka screen time reduce karna chahte hain, toh ek important question ye bhi hai kya hum khud family time ke dauraan apna phone side mein rakh rahe hain?

Children sirf hamari baatein nahi, hamari habits bhi observe karte hain.

So, maybe better parenting is not just about setting limits on a child’s screen time. It is also about creating meaningful family time where the child naturally wants to be present.

Phone ko enemy banane ke bajay, connection ko stronger banaiye.
