Despite their small size, chia seeds are full of important nutrients. They are an excellent source of omega-3 fatty acids, rich in antioxidants, and they provide fiber, iron, and calcium. Omega-3 fatty acids help raise HDL cholesterol, the β€œgood” cholesterol that protects against heart attack and stroke.

πŸ‘‰πŸ» Despite their tiny size, chia seeds are one of the most nutritious foods on the planet. They’re loaded with fiber, protein, omega-3 fatty acids and various micronutrients.

πŸ‘‰πŸ» Chia seeds are high in antioxidants that help protect the delicate fats in the seeds. They also have various benefits for health.

Muscle fibers, or muscle cells, are formed from the fusion of developmental myoblasts in a process known as myogenesis. Muscle fibers are cylindrical and have more than one nucleus. They also have multiple mitochondria to meet energy needs. Muscle fibers are in turn composed of myofibrils.

Slow Twitch vs. Fast Twitch Muscle Fiber Types

The two types of skeletal muscle fibers are slow-twitch (type I) and fast-twitch (type II). Slow-twitch muscle fibers support long distance endurance activities like marathon running, while fast-twitch muscle fibers support quick, powerful movements such as sprinting or weightlifting.

What is Melatonin? What role does it plays in our body?

πŸ‘‰πŸ» Melatonin helps control your wake and sleep cycles. It is a hormone made by the pineal gland. The pineal gland is a small endocrine gland, found in the vertebrate brain, which is a part of your endocrine system.

During the day melatonin production is lowered, but once the sun goes down, its rises and tired feelings start to kick in. Some foods contain melatonin, such as tomatoes, olives, rice, cherries, and milk, which may contribute to a tired feeling after a meal.

πŸ‘‰πŸ» In humans, melatonin plays an important role in the regulation of sleep cycles (i.e., circadian rhythm). ... How does food affect our brains?

Consistently having too many calories or too little calories can affect your brain. Too many calories can increase the risk of cell damage in the brain. Too few calories can impair awareness, or make you feel cloudy. Choosing the right types and amounts of food can decrease your risk of cell damage. This can give your brain what it needs to work at its best.

We know food can influence moods, since it alters hormonal levels, interacting with blood chemistry and one’s organs i.e. liver, pancreas, adrenals, digestive system, kidneys and the heart. Certain foods have calming effects on the body such as those rich in Trytophan. They include: chicken, beef, brown rice, nuts, fish, milk, eggs, cheese, fruit, and vegetables.

Tryptophan is an essential amino acid which the body is unable to manufacture. It forms a crucial role in the production of serotonin and melatonin. Serotonin is essential for sleep and mood regulation. If you have inadequate serotonin in your body, depression and insomnia may be likely effects, since this hormone is responsible for mood regulation.

Estrogen, or oestrogen, is the primary female s*x hormone. It is responsible for the development and regulation of the female reproductive system and secondary s*x characteristics. At the onset of puberty, estrogen plays a role in the development of so-called female secondary s*x characteristics, such as breasts, wider hips, p***c hair and armpit hair. Estrogen also helps regulate the menstrual cycle, controlling the growth of the uterine lining during the first part of the cycle.

High estrogen levels in men contribute to prostate cancer and heart disease as well as gynecomastia ( enlarged breasts). As the testosterone is transformed into estrogen the low levels of testosterone can cause many unpleasant symptoms including loss of muscle mass, fatigue, low libido, erectile dysfunction.

Men with too much estrogen may develop gynecomastia, a condition which leads to larger breasts. Erectile dysfunction (ED). Men with high levels of estrogen may have difficulty getting or maintaining an er****on.
