Calisthenics has two boss fights: the muscle-up and the handstand. Most people stall on both for the same reason: chasing the move instead of the prep.

Muscle-up: pull yourself high enough that your chest clears the bar, not just your chin. If there's no room above the bar, there's nowhere to go. And pull fast, slow pull-ups won't get you over.
Handstand: stop kicking up. Press up slow, with control. And grip the floor with your fingers. They do the balancing, not your shoulders.
Six months of choosing the bar and the floor over the couch, and you'll be the one someone else is watching for tips.
