A little nest.
A new life.
Nurtured, protected, loved…
And then, one day, wings strong enough to fly away. 🪺🕊️

Nature teaches so quietly.

Perhaps this is something we, as parents, need to learn too — to nurture deeply, love fully, and yet know when it is time to let go. Our children come through us, grow under our care, but eventually must find their own sky.

The Bhagavad Gita speaks of “aniketaḥ” — one who is not attached to a dwelling place:

तुल्यनिन्दास्तुतिर्मौनी सन्तुष्टो येन केनचित् ।
अनिकेतः स्थिरमतिर्भक्तिमान्मे प्रियो नरः ॥

Bhagavad Gita 12.19

And perhaps the “dwelling” is not only the house we live in.

This body too is a dwelling place — a temporary home for the Atman, the pure consciousness within.

So while we have been given this body, this home and this precious life, may we use them well — not merely to hold on, but to grow, to understand, and to move towards the higher purpose of life.

The little birds came.
They made this nest their home.
They grew.
And when the time came… they simply flew.

Maybe life keeps teaching us the same lesson —
love deeply, nurture fully, but don’t hold on. 🤍
