A hard truth I learnt in business:
Not everyone deserves access to your energy.
Earlier, I used to say yes to everything:
✔️ Free calls
✔️ Last-minute requests
✔️ Constant availability
I thought being “nice” would help me grow.
Instead…
It drained my confidence, focus and productivity.
Now I understand:
Boundaries are not arrogance.
They are self-respect.
Successful people are not just good at working hard.
They are good at protecting their time, focus and mental space.
Sometimes growth requires disappointing others to stop disappointing yourself.
Coach Priyam Sharma
Simplifying sales for coaches since 2024|Sales expert| Want help getting (and closing) quality leads? DM"HOW" If yes, here’s the thing. You are not alone. Why?
Are you a coach struggling with generating consistent revenue? Attracting all the leads but finding it hard to qualify and close them? Faced with irregular lead flow, many coaches (70% according to data) push without hope or quit coaching completely. If you’re part of that crew, listen to me.
“Ignoring the problem” is not a solution here! What you have to do instead is:
1) Build a brand that attra
Most professionals don’t lack talent.
They lack consistency.
People post for 5 days…
Disappear for 3 weeks…
Then wonder why opportunities are not coming.
Personal branding is not built through motivation.
It is built through repetition.
One valuable post every day.
One meaningful conversation every day.
One step toward visibility every day.
That’s how authority compounds.
The problem is…
Most people want instant results from activities that require long-term trust.
But trust is slow.
And the people who stay visible long enough…
Eventually become unforgettable.
If I could give one advice to every working professional, it would be this:
Stop underestimating yourself. Many people are sitting on incredible talent…
But hiding behind:
❌ Fear
❌ Self-doubt
❌ Overthinking The world rewards people who are willing to be visible.
Speak up. Share your thoughts. Build your authority. Own your journey.
Because if YOU don’t believe in your value… Nobody else will.

LinkedIn is not just for job seekers anymore.
It is one of the biggest platforms for:
✔ Building authority
✔ Networking with decision-makers
✔ Generating leads organically
✔ Attracting opportunities
But most people use it incorrectly.
They consume more than they create.
Start posting.
Start sharing.
Start building visibility.
Your next opportunity may come from one post.
There was a time when I used to compare myself with people who were more confident, fluent and polished.
I used to wonder: “How are they so good?”
But over time, I realised something important…
Most successful people are not extraordinary. They are simply consistent.
They kept improving while others kept doubting themselves.
That changed everything for me.
Now whenever I feel fear or self-doubt… I remind myself:
Growth is a process, not a race.
Most people think sales is convincing.
It’s not.
Sales is understanding people deeply.
The best salespeople are not the loudest people in the room. They are the people who:
✔ Listen carefully
✔ Understand pain points
✔ Communicate solutions clearly
People don’t buy pressure.
They buy clarity and confidence.
The moment you stop “selling” and start genuinely helping… Sales becomes easier.
I’ve noticed something interesting…
Many talented professionals stay invisible for years.
Not because they lack skills.
But because they struggle to communicate their value.
Being good at work is no longer enough.
If people don’t know:
→ What you do
→ How you help
→ What makes you different
You become replaceable.
This is exactly why personal branding matters.
Visibility creates opportunities. Authority creates trust. Trust creates income.
And LinkedIn is one of the best platforms to build that organically.
Stop hiding your expertise.
One of the biggest mistakes professionals make on LinkedIn?
They use LinkedIn like a resume.
Not like a platform to build authority.
Your degree may get you noticed once.
But your personal brand keeps you remembered.
People today don’t just buy products or services.
They buy:
✔ Credibility
✔ Visibility
✔ Trust
And the good news?
You don’t need to become an influencer overnight.
You just need to:
→ Show up consistently
→ Share your experiences
→ Add value
→ Build genuine connections
Your knowledge has value.
Your journey has value.
Your story has value.
Start showing up.
Opportunities increase when visibility increases.
There was a time when I couldn’t even speak confidently in English.
I had stage fear, low confidence, and a constant fear of being judged.
I still remember participating in the extempore round during Ms. Fresher’s in college…
I froze.
Words stopped. Confidence disappeared. And I could feel people laughing.
It may have been just a few minutes for others… but for me, that moment stayed in my heart for years.
I started believing maybe I wasn’t smart enough.
Maybe I wasn’t confident enough.
Maybe people like me were not meant to stand on stages or achieve something big.
I was never a topper in studies.
Just an average girl trying to figure life out.
No clear direction.
No clarity about career.
No polished communication skills.
And honestly, there were many moments when I felt left behind.
Sometimes I failed because of low confidence.
Sometimes because of communication barriers.
Sometimes because exposure around me was limited.
And sometimes simply because I didn’t believe enough in myself.
But somewhere deep inside, I always had the willingness to rise again.
So slowly, I started working on myself.
One small step at a time.
I worked on my communication, mindset, confidence, and personality.
Then came corporate life. Sales. Meeting CXOs. Training people. Speaking on stages.
Life slowly transformed me into someone I once thought I could never become.
And today, I help coaches and working professionals build their personal brand through LinkedIn, establish authority, and attract opportunities organically.
Why am I sharing this?
Because many people think confident people are born different.
They are not.
Confidence is built through embarrassment, failures, uncomfortable moments, and showing up even when you feel unprepared.
And if there’s one thing I’ve learnt in this journey, it is this:
You do not need to become perfect before starting.
You just need the courage to keep moving despite your fears.
So if you’re doubting yourself today, please don’t stop.
