It is now general knowledge that obesity has an effect on various diseases including Diabetes, Cardiovascular disease, Blood pressure, Cholesterol, Cancer, Sleep apnoea, Fatty liver disease. But you ever think that obesity could affect your immune system???
Yes, it's a fact...
Nutrition and Immune Function:-
Eating a Diet that is high in Fiber and antioxidants like fruits and vegetables and has enough Protein helps to keep your immune system working properly. Specific micronutrients like iron, selenium, zinc, copper as well as vitamins C, A, E, B-6 and folic acid have important roles in the body's immune response.
Diet high in sugar and fat or eating too many calories make you more prone to infection. Because it increases blood sugar or may cause oxidative damage.
Also having too little protein intake.... puts you at risk of protein-energy malnutrition which reduces your immunity. So immunity reduces because of deficiencies and also poor diet, no matter whatever the weight.
Exercise also plays an important role in improving immune function. Exercise seems to increase certain immune cells, reducing the risk of infection.

Eating healthier and doing moderate exercise can help to increase your immune function. So always follow 80-20 rule; i.e., 80% diet and 20% exercise. This is the key to live a healthy and happy life.

Yes, it's a frequently heard word now a days. Out of 10 people, almost 6-7 people are suffering with acidity or may be more than this.
I would like to share the information about acidity or acidreflux , which I come across on a regular basis through my customers'stories while working as a wellnesscoach.
There is a strong link between excess weight and acid reflux. Losing weight is one of the best lifestyle changes you can make to reduce heartburn. Long-term heartburn may lead to gastroesophageal reflux disease #(GERD).
Symptoms:
1. A bitter taste in your mouth.
2. Coughing.
3. Excessive belching.
4. Flatulence
5. Sore throat
6. Swallowing difficulties
Lifestyle changes to be made:
1. Eat smaller meals
2. Don't eat less than two hours before lying down
3. Eat slowly
4. Change your eating habits by avoiding trigger foods like alcohol, carbonated drinks, coffee, spicy and high fatty foods, packaged or processed foods)
5. Take walk after meals
6. Do regular exercise to improve your digestion.
