Introducing millionaire pl***oy 'player' cm owner extraordinaire Sahil Kataria: 'Kattu', a triple divorcee, is currently 14th on Forbes' most influential (in SIC Campus) list. He's been caught 'offside' many a times with his now infamous 'Hand of God'. His skill with the ball is only rivaled by his charm with the ladies. After ending his professional career on a high, he has somehow maintained his footing (on that 'high'). This desi 'John Terry' has scored more off the pitch, than on the pitch. A philanthropist at heart, he famously pressurised the previous government into introducing the 5% CSR in the new Companies Act. It is rumoured that the character Poploo from 'Humpty Sharma ki Dulhaniya' was based on his life. We sincerely hope that he brings sexy back to the SFL!

Pilpil announces international retirement: Fans around the SIC campus went into mourning on hearing about the iconic midfielder's early retirement due to a permanent tear in his thigh ligament. He has scored more than 84 goals, provided 112 assists and won more than 206 cups, including both the virtual and real world, in his illustrious career. His personal doctor CP was in tears as he let Pilpil know of his career-ending injury. An exhibition match is currently being planned in his honour. Though he has won 2 Ballon d'ors, he has publically stated that it is People magazine's tag of sexiest footballer alive that he holds dearer. Pilpil will continue to be associated with Barcelona FC as their brand ambassador. Football shall surely miss you, Pilpil.

Nikhil Munniswamy needs no introduction to football lovers in SIC Campus. A 4 time inter-college tournament winner, a silver at IIM A, a silver at SP Jain and winner of various inter-division tournaments at HRD, Munni is no stranger to glory. A versatile playmaker, Munni can slot in anywhere at a moment's notice, be it as a defender, midfielder or striker. While Munni's dribbling abilities are a defender's nightmare, his accuracy is a marksman's dream. His electric pace, two-footedness and aerial strength are worth their weight in gold, but what makes him a shrewd buy is his complete tactical understanding of the game and his leadership quality which saw him lead an underdog (nay, decidedly crappy) team to the finals of the recently concluded inter-division tournament. He may very well turn out to be the MVP at the auction, considering the fact how closely he knows players across all three colleges. His new 'Ghajini' look and well-toned body have already made him plenty of female fans, something which could be used for marketing purposes by his new club. Though rumours still abound of how Pepsi backed out of a sponsorship deal with him due to his wild lifestyle and party animal image, the fact remains: on the pitch, he remains a true superstar.
SFLInsider Just In: The regulatory body of the SFL has just convened an urgent meeting after numerous complaints from player representatives against extremely aggressive play by a certain Rushi Dave in the recently concluded inter-division tournament. An enquiry is to be held asap. If found guilty, Rushi could be banned for upto 5 matches, effectively ruling him out of the SFL. Off the record, several players have voiced their approval of this latest development. More to follow. .

Which way is Saurav Kothari headed?
27/07/2014
SFLInsider: Saurav Kothari began playing football on the console in class 7, before quickly finding out he was, as good if not better, on the pitch. He played in a variety of roles, from right back to winger to defensive midfield in school, before settling on his preferred role, as an attacking midfielder right behind the striker. He has captained his school team, won over 10 inter-college tournaments while representing his college and holds his own amongst an array of stars in 'Kurkure', the senior HRD team yet to be beaten in SIC Campus. With his propensity to run rivals ragged, a deadly dribbling ability potent enough to unlock the most well manned of defences, that instinctive eye for a deadly pass that separates the great players from the good, 'Eskay' is well and capable of turning a match even on his off day. But what makes him a hot favourite amongst potential bidders is that immeasurable quality, a knack for scoring goals; which has seen him rack up 5 goals in 4 matches in the inter-division SCMHRD tournament recently. On current form, I wouldn't be surprised if Eskay's sale broke all existing transfer records.
