As we bring in the new year, we begin afresh on the efforts that we made in the previous year and double our work on them. The Kreedangan 1.0 was a small but landmark moment for us at the , where stalwarts of the sports industry came together to help create the next ten years for . Today, after the flood of new year greetings has ebbed, we bring to you the discussions resulting from 4 hours of industry-academia interaction to develop the future of Indian sports human resources for the next ten years.

For us at the , the past few months have been trying and we finally have begun the process of rebuilding ourselves to deliver on the premise that was launched upon. marks the end of the initiation and the beginning of a renewed and rejuvenated effort to realign ourselves to our goal not in part, but in full measure.

Just as the quote mentions, we have the courage to stand up to our beliefs and a hope that our audience/supporters/users/participants will help us create a better platform for sports in the very warm and heartening spirit that Christmas embodies.

Mahavir Singh Phogat always wanted to win a Gold medal in wrestling for his country. His constant determination made a dream come true. His belief and pursuit of excellence made him go to lengths considered to be on the extremities, especially training girls in a sport predominantly for men.

Braja Bhusan Mohanty has been trainer of many medalists in boxing. This shows how great his influence has been amongst his students. Under his guidance, several boxers have brought laurels for the country in several Asian Games, Asian Championships and National Games.

Sports and Youth Affairs Minister, Odisha, Tusharkanti Behera, head of IMFA’s corporate affairs & vice president Ashok Kumar Behera and former cricketer Debasis Mohanty felicited Braja Bhusan Mohanty with OSJA Lifetime Achievement Award. The Sports Minister said his focus is on promoting traditional and village level sports in Odisha.

On the occasion of National Sports Day, boxing instructor Braja Bhushan Mohanty was presented with the prestigious Dronacharya Award at Rashtrapati Bhawan. He was recognised for his lifelong contributions to boxing. Mohanty significantly noticed the talented Arjuna awardee L Devendro Singh. Mohanty took his boxing coaching training from Patiala in 1992.

Mr. Braja Bhushan Mohanty was born in Badakhemundi, Berhampur, and began his career as a boxing coach in defence for the Services Sports Control Board (SSCB) and trained the elite athletes at the Army Sports Institute (ASI), based in Pune. Following his retirement in 2013, he was hired as the main boxing coach of the Jharkhand boxing squad. From 2002 to 2011, he was also a member of the Indian boxing coaching staff.

Former Indian shooter Jaspal Rana competed at the top level for his nation and established himself as one of the greatest at the Commonwealth Games. He started his shooting career at a very early age. He was around 10 years old when his father introduced him to the sport of shooting. At the age of 12, Jaspal made his national debut at the 31st National Shooting Championships that was held in Ahmedabad in 1988, and he won a silver medal in the competition. In 1994, he made his international debut at the 46th World Shooting Championships and set a record score during the event in Milan, Italy. After the 1994 record-breaking performance in Milan, Jaspal Rana bagged a gold medal in the 1994 Asian Games that took place in Hiroshima. In 1994, he was honoured with the Arjuna Award, and in 1997, Jaspal received the Padma Shri for his consistent performance in various national and international events. Jaspal has several medals in his pocket including the gold medals he won in 1998, 2002, and 2006, Commonwealth Games.He is India's most successful Commonwealth Games competitor in the nation's history.
