There's so much wisdom behind this statement. Sometimes as a teacher I feel the impatience of a student to do more difficult exercises but I need to hold on to this statement and build them that strong foundation and body awareness .
The beauty of pilates can be experienced when you have the patience to build that strong base !!

Getting into the mermaid on the reformer.
The mermaid opens up the side of the body , stretches your quadratus lumborum reducing tightness in the lower back, opens up your intercostal helping your breathe deeper and just makes you feel so good !

Had a week with a lot of learning. Got introduced to the immense, beautiful, crazy,world of fascia.

And .official for being so patient with my million questions .
Also did a workshop on and it's amazing how the whole body is so connected and how something happening in one part of the body effects the other parts of it. Looking forward to putting all this new learning into action.

My dose of sanity in this different world we live in...had a one hour discussion on "dynamic flexibility " in Pilates.
Using this down time to learn more and connect what we learn to application. Thank you for sharing your wisdom on how the body moves with us .

Had a fun afternoon with the Moushu's pilates team discussing hypermobility and how Pilates exercises can greatly benefit people who are hypermobile.

The Foam Roller - a great tool for myofascial release. It works by releasing and massaging away muscle and myofascial tightness.
A beautiful way to end a workout , add it as a cool down or a day after a crazy intense workout.

Thinking Tuesdays :-)
This week we spoke about myofascial slings . Got a better understanding of muscle imbalances and what exercises to do to help correct them.
Of course no meeting of our is complete without some chocolate, coffee , croissants etc....
