Sirsasana is often seen as an advanced posture, but the real practice is not simply turning upside down. It is learning how to remain steady without unnecessary effort.
In this variation, the ceiling rope and wooden plank provide support so the body can explore alignment with greater clarity. When the fear of balancing reduces, attention can shift to the length of the spine, the quietness of the breath, and the even distribution of weight. Props are not a shortcut—they are a means to refine perception.
Yoga invites us to move from doing more to observing more. That quiet observation is where learning truly begins.

There is no greater joy than watching young minds absorb the roots of classical yoga with so much ease and happiness.
Blessed to guide them, and even more blessed to learn from their boundless energy.
On this Guru Purnima, I bow with gratitude to all my teachers and Gurus who have illuminated my path—especially my beloved Guruji, Shri H. S. Arun Ji, and all the teachers in the Iyengar tradition from whom I continue to learn. 🙏

We often think of 'fashion' as a modern-day obsession. But did you know that even in the Treta Yuga, the way young Shri Rama styled his hair carried a specific, unique significance?
When Sage Vishvamitra arrived in Ayodhya to seek help from King Dashratha, he used a beautiful, specific description to identify young Rama:
काकपक्षधरं शूरं ज्येष्ठं मे दातुमर्हसि
He requested the King to send his eldest son—the one who sports the Kaakapaksham.
But what was Kaakapaksham? It refers to the refined hairstyle of that era, where young prince would carefully groom their hair, leaving a small, thin, curled lock near each temple..

What do you think? Is there a classic hairstyle or trend from the past that you wish would make a comeback?

Four years ago, a mother sent me a message asking if her 4-year-old daughter could join our online yoga classes.
At that time, I gently suggested, "Let's wait until she turns 8."
She waited.
Four years later, that little girl finally joined our online classes.
And within just a few sessions, she found a special place in my heart. ❤️
Recently, Ambi and Aanya travelled to India for their vacation. Out of all the places they could have visited, they made a special trip to Pune just to meet us in person.
Moments like these remind me that yoga is never just about postures, flexibility, or fitness.
It is about human connection.
It is about trust.
It is about hearts meeting across countries, cultures, and distances.
In a world where life is becoming increasingly busy and private, such genuine connections feel like a rare blessing.
My heart is overflowing with gratitude today.
Thank you, Ambi and Aanya, for your love, trust, and this beautiful memory. Thank you for reminding me why I do what I do.
Welcome to our yoga family. 🧘♀️❤️
🧘♀️ 𝐘𝐨𝐠𝐚 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡𝐲 𝐀𝐠𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠
Hon'ble PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji and the Ministry of Ayush have announced this year’s International Yoga Day theme: “𝐘𝐨𝐠𝐚 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡𝐲 𝐀𝐠𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠.”
Growing older is natural—but losing strength faster than necessary isn’t. Through this video, we explain a crucial, often overlooked aspect of aging.
When we load our muscles safely and mindfully, they work, adapt, and receive vital signals to stay active and resilient. That is what truly brings lifelong health.
This International Yoga Day, let us choose:
✨ Movement over inactivity
✨ Awareness over decline
✨ Strength with grace
Let's invest in a body that supports us through every stage of life.
Don’t just practice mechanically.
Understand. Observe. Practice with awareness.
🧘♀️ Yoga with anatomy.
💡 Yoga with understanding.
🌱 Yoga for life.

The biggest worry with online yoga is injury. "If I do it wrong, who will fix me?"
During live sessions, our primary job isn't to practice—it's to observe.
We constantly review your alignment, check your foundation, and tell you exactly where to micro-adjust to find stability and ease (Sthira\ Sukham).
To ensure your safety and alignment, we creatively use whatever is available at home—like your sofa, cushions, or walls—as mindful props.
You don't need to be flexible or experienced to start. You just need to show up on your mat, and let us handle the safety.
