What is Ahimsa? More than a yoga principle โ it's a way of life. ๐๏ธ
Ahimsa means non-violence and non-harming โ the very first Yama in Patanjali's Yoga Sutras. But true Ahimsa goes far beyond avoiding physical harm. It begins with how we treat ourselves: respecting our body's limits, listening without judgment, and trusting our own progress.
And it doesn't stop at the edge of the mat. Ahimsa asks us to extend kindness to people, animals, nature โ and even the words we speak. Because words have power too. Choosing kindness over hurt, compassion over judgment, and peace over conflict is Ahimsa in action, every single day.
โจ Choose kindness. Choose compassion. Choose peace โ within and around you.
