Alhumdulilah 2nd Runner-up in District wushu championship shopian TSA...

Srinagar: During the 17th UT Wushu Cham- pionship, which was held re- cently, around six players from Turkawangam area of Shopi- an participated, wherein three of them named, Danish Firdous, Sahil Mushtaq, & Fasial Nazir won Bronze Medals. After receving medals, the play- ers said that, they are thankful to their sponsors especially, IH Sports Srinagar, AE Ishafq Ah Dar and Mir Suhail from Turkawangam Shopi- an, "as without their support it wouldn't have been possible." "We are also thankful to our team lead- ers namely Naser Yousuf Dar, Gazi Mushtaq and Um- mer Farooq from Turkawangam Shopian," they said Meanwhile, Sports Club titled Turkawangam Legends in their statement have said that, they are thankful to Secretary J&K Sports Council Ms Nuzhat Gul, J&K Sports Council, Mr Kuldeep Handoo (CEO/Chief Coach Of India), Mr Rameez Ahmad Dar (Coach Khelo India Centre Shopian), "for all their support, and for backing our play- ers in showcasing their talent."

Alhamdulillah K.I.C Shopian bagged 2nd Runner up position in the 17th UT Wushu Championship 2023. The event where more than 1500 Players (19 districts and J&k police team across j&k participated . The event was one of a kind and 5 day long UT Championship concluded with Jammu as Overall Winners, Srinagar as Runner Up and Khelo India Centre Shopian as 2nd Runner up Champions. Jammu district had more than 250 players, Srinagar 55 while Khelo india Centre Shopian made it to 2nd Runner up with 28 players.
This is the first time in the history of State championship that more than 1500 players have participated. The hardwork is paying fruitful and the support of Parents has been a key in this feat.
