Under the banner of *Nasha Mukt Abhiyan* , an *Inter-School District Level Girls U-19 Volleyball* Tournament was organized today by the *Department of Youth Services and Sports, District Shopian.* The tournament was inaugurated by *DYSSO Shopian, Mr. Mohammad Ayoub Bhat.*
The final match of the tournament was played between *HSS Imamsahib* and *HSS Keegam* , where players displayed remarkable sportsmanship, discipline, and competitive spirit. A large number of students and officials witnessed the exciting final encounter.
After the successful completion of the tournament, trophies were distributed among the winners and runners-up teams by the chief guest. On the occasion, DYSSO Shopian also administered the Nasha Mukt pledge to all participants and officials, encouraging youth to stay away from drug abuse and adopt a healthy and disciplined lifestyle through sports and physical activities.

Today, on 18-05-2026, the Department of Youth Services and Sports, District Shopian, Zone Imamsahib conducted an Interschool Zonal Level Chess Tournament for boys under the age groups of 14 & 17 years under the banner of Nasha Mukht Abhiyan.
The tournament was held at two venues: HS Homhuna and NIPS Zainapora, where a large number of Govt./Private institutions from Zone Imamsahib participated with zeal and zest.
The tournament was inaugurated by the Principal of NIPS Zainapora. While addressing the participants, he encouraged them to actively take part in sports activities and highlighted the importance of sports in building discipline and character. He also emphasized the harmful effects of drug abuse and advised students to stay away from such practices.
