Our mission is to help each student reach their highest personal potential; mentally and physically. It started with just 12 students.

Our dojo started in March,2009 under the able leadership of NIT Silchar alumni Eshan Das, respected faculty advisor, Dr. Ayon Bhattacharjee and our beloved coach, Sensei Ramesh Chhetri. Under the patriarch of the dojo family, whose orbs watched from behind thin rimmed glasses the snapping tournament banners under which the fighters faced their foe, the scoreboards flashed numbers that cumulated towards victory. Upon the Cachar tournament's conclusion, medals were swinging in the evening breeze, clinking softly together over the gi of our fighters.

NIT Silchar Karate Dojo shines at the 6th Cachar District Karate Championship! 🥋
18 players represented the institute, winning 28 medals (8 Gold, 10 Silver, 10 Bronze).
13 athletes secured merit positions, and all players qualified for the South Zonal Karate Championship.
