There are certain individuals whose greatness cannot be confined to certificates, degrees, or worldly achievements. Their true stature is reflected in their character, their sacrifices, their sincerity, and the way they live their values in both public and private life. My respected teacher and mentor, Sir Kousar Ahmad Mir (B.A., M.A., M.Ed.), is undoubtedly one of those rare personalities.
To the world, he is known as a distinguished academician, a devoted servant of Deen, and a sincere follower of the teachings of Imam Ahmad Raza Khan Barelvi رضی اللہ تعالٰی عنہ. But for those who have had the privilege of knowing him closely, his personality unfolds into something far greater—an embodiment of humility, patience, wisdom, and unwavering faith.
One of the most remarkable aspects of his life is his role as a son. Being the only son of his mother, he carries a responsibility that many cannot truly understand. Yet, he fulfills this role with such sincerity and devotion that it leaves one in awe. His love for his mother is not expressed merely in words, but in lifelong actions, sacrifices, and silent endurance.
His respected mother is a chronic cardiac patient, and her condition has demanded constant care, attention, and emotional strength. Despite the immense challenges this brings, Sir has never stepped back. He has sacrificed his personal comfort, his time, his rest, and countless opportunities—only to ensure that his mother lives with dignity, care, and peace. He obeys her with humility, prioritizes her happiness above everything, and serves her with a level of dedication that is rarely witnessed today.
However, his greatness is not limited to this alone.
Sir Kousar is a man of sober temperament and refined character. His personality reflects calmness, depth, and maturity. He speaks with wisdom, listens with patience, and deals with people with utmost احترام (respect). His conduct teaches more than his words ever could.
His faith is firm and deeply rooted. In times of ease and in moments of hardship, his reliance upon Allah remains unshaken. This strength of Imaan is what enables him to carry such heavy responsibilities while continuing to serve others selflessly.
As a teacher, he is truly exceptional. He strongly believes that teaching is not an act of authority, but an art of love. He does not impose knowledge harshly; instead, he nurtures it gently within his students. His approach is built on compassion, understanding, and encouragement. He corrects without humiliating, guides without discouraging, and uplifts without expecting anything in return.
Over the years, he has worked tirelessly—educating, mentoring, and shaping the lives of countless students. His efforts are not temporary; they are deeply rooted contributions that continue to bear fruit in the lives of his students. Thousands, including myself, stand today as a reflection of his dedication, his sincerity, and his vision.
Despite our flaws, mistakes, and shortcomings, he has always shown patience. He never abandons his students. Instead, he continues to believe in us—even when we struggle to believe in ourselves.
Today, however, our hearts are heavy.
His beloved mother’s cardiac condition is moving towards a serious stage. This is not only a test for him but a moment of concern for all those who respect and love him.
I humbly request everyone: Please make Khusoosi Dua for his respected mother.
May Allah grant her Shifa-e-Kaamila, ease her pain, remove her suffering, and bless her with a long and healthy life. Ameen.
Sir’s life teaches us a lesson that no book alone can teach: True success is not just in knowledge, position, or recognition—it lies in sincerity, character, and خدمتِ والدین (service to parents).
May Allah reward Sir Kousar for every sacrifice he has made, accept his خدمت as Ibadah, elevate his ranks in both worlds, and grant him sabr, strength, and ease during this difficult time. Ameen.
We stand with him—not just as students, but as those who sincerely make dua for him and his family.
Yours Lovingly
Zubair Raza
