Warpora Intra Village Super 16...
In the 4th QF match today, Students Cricket Club Warpora Sopore thrashed Alfahad Cricket Club Warpora by 72 runs in a one sided match..
Earlier the Captain of SCC Jeeya Malik won the toss and had no hesitation whatsoever in batting first and put on 171/8 on the board in their alotted 20 overs with Captain leading from tge front by scoring 60 of 41 balls with the help of 5 fours and 4 sixes. War Jahan was also in a formidable form and he smashed 45 of just 23 balls... For Alfahad, Mudasir Bulla was the pick of the bowlers as he picked 2/23 in his 4 overs...
Chasing a target of 172, the top order of Alfahad CC fell like a pack of cards as they lost 7 wickets in the first 10 overs. A late cameo from Mudasir Bulla took them to 99 and eventually they lost the match by a huge margin of 72 runs..
For SCC, their bowlers rose to the occasion when it mattered the most and delivered a Knockout punch to Alfahad. Jahangir War was at his absolute best with his mixed variations as he got the figures of 3.0-1-17-3 . Nawaz Ahmad and Màsú Màlík picked 3 and 2 wickets respectively. War Jahangir for his brilliant spell was adjudged Cricheroes PoTM..........
