Jammu & Kashmir has once again brought pride to the region as six representatives, including five talented players and one manager, have been selected for various Indian teams for the upcoming IDCA Champions Trophy 2026. The prestigious tournament is scheduled to be held from 26th May to 29th May 2026 in Delhi.

The selections highlight the exceptional dedication, skill, and consistent performance of athletes from the Union Territory. Sharik Majeed and Hilal Wani have been named in India A, while Shakir Fayaz will represent India B. Umar Ashraf Beigh and Suhail Ahmad have secured their places in India C and India D, respectively. Further adding to this achievement, Irfan Ahmad Yatoo has been appointed as the Manager of the India C team.

This remarkable accomplishment reflects the rising standard of sports in Jammu & Kashmir and the emergence of promising talent on the national stage. It not only underscores individual excellence but also enhances the region’s reputation in the field of sports.
