After winning the toss and opting to bat, Spartan Strikers faced an early setback, losing Rafiq Sofi on the very first delivery. However, captain Tahir Bhat and Jibran Rafiq steadied the innings with a crucial 91-run partnership that shifted momentum firmly in Striker’s favor.
Tahir Bhat led from the front with a blistering 46 off 29 balls at a strike rate of 158.62, while Jibran Rafiq anchored the innings brilliantly, scoring 62 off 55 balls, including eight boundaries. Valuable late contributions from Imrat Dar, who smashed 48 off 34 deliveries, and Tufail (Perry), who added a quick 22 runs, powered the team to a competitive 199/7 in 25 overs.

DOMINATION AT SP COLLEGE GROUND!
Spartan Strikers Kashmir continued their clinical form this season with a massive 111-run victory over Koolipora XI Khanyar on January 11, 2026. Playing at SP College Ground in Srinagar, the Strikers proved once again why they are the team to beat.
The Innings Breakdown:
After electing to bat, the Striker’s top order came out with aggressive intent. Rafiq Sofi was the chief architect of the massive total, playing a blistering knock of 89 off just 46 balls, decorated with 17 boundaries and 2 towering sixes. He & Jibran Rafiq provided the perfect platform for Imrat Dar, who finished the innings with a flourish, remaining unbeaten on 58 off 34 balls. The team finished with a daunting 263/4 in their 25 overs.
The Defense:
The bowling unit made sure the chase never got off the ground. Under the leadership of Captain Tahir Bhat, the Striker’s bowlers maintained a ruthless line and length. Koolipora XI Khanyar struggled to keep up with the rising run rate and were eventually bundled out for 152 in 24 overs.

Spartan Strikers Kashmir kicked off 2026 in emphatic fashion with a commanding win over Lions Cricket Club, setting the tone early for the season.
After winning the toss, Lions Cricket Club opted to bat first, but the decision quickly backfired. The Spartan bowling unit came in hot and never loosened its grip. Wickets fell at regular intervals as the Lions lineup struggled to build momentum.
The bowling performance was disciplined, relentless, and ruthlessly economical:
Rafiq Sofi led the charge with a superb three-wicket haul, conceding just 18 runs in 5 overs.
Musaa was outstanding, grabbing two wickets while giving away only 12 runs in his 4 overs.
Musharraf chipped in with a wicket at a crucial moment.
Tahir Bhat set the example with 1 wicket for 14 runs in 4 overs.
Imran Renzu delivered consistently, finishing with 1 wicket for 27 runs in 5 overs.
Strong fielding complemented the bowling effort, ensuring Lions Cricket Club were restricted to 114/9 in 25 overs. The lone resistance came from Mudassir, who held firm till the end with a gritty 27, pushing his side past the 100-run mark.

The Spartan Strikers bowlers executed their plans with precision. Musharraf bowled a tight and controlled spell, maintaining excellent line and length throughout his 5 overs, conceding just 25 runs and never allowing the batters to settle. Rafiq Sofi followed it up with an equally economical performance, bowling 5 overs for 20 runs and picking up 2 crucial wickets, choking the scoring rate at a key stage.
