Five officials nominated by the Mixed Martial Arts Sports Association of J&K (Regd.) participated in the National Referees and Judges Seminar & Certification held in Mumbai from 19th to 21st February 2026.
The three-day programme was organised by the Mixed Martial Arts Sports Federation of India (MMA SFI) and hosted by the Mixed Martial Arts Association of Maharashtra.
The seminar was led by renowned technical expert Jitendra Khare Sir, one of the most respected figures in Indian Mixed Martial Arts, along with other senior technical experts. The sessions covered scoring systems, referee commands, positioning, coaching methodologies, safeguarding standards, and competition integrity protocols.
Out of the five nominated officials from Jammu & Kashmir, four successfully qualified the National Examination and were awarded the C-Grade National Referee & Judge License, strengthening the certified officiating structure of the Union Territory.
MMA SAJK is affiliated with the Mixed Martial Arts Sports Federation of India, the national governing body for MMA in India, which is affiliated with the Asian Mixed Martial Arts Association, recognised by the Olympic Council of Asia, and with Global Association of Mixed Martial Arts (GAMMA).
The Association expresses sincere gratitude to the dynamic President Nikhil Kundra Sir, General Secretary Jitendra Khare Sir, Vice President & Head - Technical Committee Preksha Jhaveri Ma'am, Vice President & Head - Ethics, Safeguarding and Women's Commission Prachiti kunder Ma'am, Joint Secretary & Head - Ethics and Disciplinary Committee Susovan Ghosh Sir, Vice President Ashutosh thakur sir, along with all respected members of the Mixed Martial Arts Sports Federation of India, for their continuous leadership, guidance, and unwavering support.
This marks a new beginning and a new era for Mixed Martial Arts in Jammu & Kashmir, ensuring proper governance, a structured technical team, and a clear developmental roadmap for the sport across the Union Territory.
