A proud moment for Arya Krida Mandal as our newly renovated International-Level Wooden Badminton Court was inaugurated by Shri. Ashok Sakpal, Vice President, Arya Krida Mandal.

As we approach our Centenary Year in 2027, this is more than just the inauguration of a renovated sporting facility. It is a celebration of everything that came before us — the people, players, mentors, members and generations who have shaped the identity of Arya Krida Mandal.

Thane Badminton Academy, in association with the Syed Modi Badminton Coaching Scheme and Thane City & District Badminton Association, had the privilege of felicitating Shri. Sandeep Malavi, Additional Municipal Commissioner, Thane Municipal Corporation, during a heartfelt farewell gathering.

His constant encouragement towards badminton infrastructure, athlete development, and grassroots sports has significantly contributed to strengthening the sporting ecosystem in Thane.

The ceremony was graced by Senior Journalist & Former Member of Parliament Shri. Kumar Ketkar, whose inspiring words highlighted the transformative role of sports in society.

Addressing our players and coaches, Shri. Malavi encouraged every athlete to pursue excellence with discipline and determination, while assuring his continued support for the growth of badminton in the years ahead.

🏆 THANE DOMINATES THE MAHARASHTRA SENIOR STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS! 🏸💙

An outstanding performance by the players of Thane Badminton Academy at the Yonex Sunrise Maharashtra 1st Senior State Selection Tournament 2026 held in Chandrapur! The academy once again stamped its authority on the state’s biggest stage, winning an impressive 3 Gold, 2 Silver and 2 Bronze medals.

Sarvesh Yadaav emerged as the Men’s Singles State Champion, while Anagha Karandikar enjoyed a phenomenal tournament by clinching a Double Crown, winning the Women’s Doubles title alongside Nehal Gosavi and the Mixed Doubles title with Aman Farogh. The academy also secured two silver medals through Siya Singh in Mixed Doubles and Women’s Doubles.

Adding to the celebrations, the academy’s young stars proved their mettle in the senior category. U-19 brothers Arjun Birajdar and A***n Birajdar delivered a remarkable performance to claim the Men’s Doubles Bronze Medal, while Sanidhya Ekade added another Bronze Medal in Mixed Doubles.

Congratulations to all our players for this exceptional achievement and for once again making Thane proud on the Maharashtra badminton stage.
