✨ **आrambhikā — a sacred beginning** ✨

In the centenary birth year of Guruji, we at Aratrika feel deeply blessed and humbled to present a moment of tradition, devotion, and artistic awakening.

Aratrika Institute of Performing Arts proudly announces the Manchapravesha of our committed disciple, Ojasvi Shahapurkar — a milestone that marks the blossoming of years of rigorous training, surrender, and love for the art of Odissi.

Titled 'आrambhikā', this presentation signifies the first sacred offering of a dancer stepping onto the stage as a soloist — embracing tradition while beginning her own artistic journey.

📅 7th March 2026
⏰ 11.00 AM onwards
📍 Gadkari Rangayatan, Thane

We warmly invite rasikas, well-wishers, and lovers of Indian classical dance to join us, shower your blessings, and witness the beginning of a lifelong artistic journey.

NCPA Nrityaparichay Program ✨
A beautiful initiative by NCPA, led by Mrs. Swapnokolpa Dasgupta and her dedicated team, nurturing young minds from financially challenged backgrounds through the power of the arts, instilling discipline, confidence, and love for our rich cultural heritage.

This marks the 4th year of the program with the school. The students were trained in the Odissi art form by Smt. Nivedita Mukherjee, Principal Dance Teacher, who has been guiding them for the past three years, along with her senior disciple Srinidhi Mohan, Assistant Dance Teacher, who joined the training in the fourth year, together shaping the students’ journey with dedication and grace.

Grateful to Kotak Mahindra Bank for their valuable support and sponsorship, and special thanks to the school principal for encouraging students to learn Odissi and be part of this prestigious program.🥰

✨ A Divine Celebration of Guru Poornima with Wisdom, Art & Sustainability ✨

Our first Guru Poornima celebration was one to remember—rooted in reverence, creativity, and consciousness. 🙏

🛕 We were deeply honored to have Dr. Prachi Jariwala with us, who captivated everyone with her insightful presentation on ancient temple sculptures—unveiling the hidden stories, symbolism, and spiritual science behind every curve and carving. Her session was more than a talk—it was a journey through India's rich artistic and architectural heritage.

💫 Our talented young students added vibrant energy to the celebration with their soulful performances, reflecting the spirit of devotion and learning that Guru Poornima stands for.

🍲 Amazing homemade delicious food prepared painstakingly by Shampa di was thoroughly enjoyed by each and everybody

🌱 We always try to support a cause through our events and this was no different. A special thank you to for the beautiful bags, pouches and potlis made from preloved fabric and for the rental steel cutlery. Both of you helped us lead by example the idea of a green and zero-waste celebration. From plastic-free decor to sustainable offerings, their commitment ensured that our spiritual gathering remained kind to Mother Earth. 🌍💚

Together, we honored our Gurus, celebrated art and knowledge, and moved one step closer to eco-conscious celebrations. 💫
