LENGTHENING THE LOWER BACK.
Our bodies function at their best when muscles work in sync with another.
Weak muscles in pelvic region, hips can contribute to tight lower back.
Focusing on lengthening and extending the spine helps relieve compression in the lower back.
Consistently practicing asana to strengthen and stretch lower back is one of the excellent way to prevent lower back pain.
1⃣ Baddhakonasana works on lower back flexibility by dissolving some of the tension experienced from sitting for extended hours.
2⃣Baddhakonasana forward bend lengthen the lumbar spine.
3⃣Parsva Sukhasana is beginner friendly stretch improves flexibility in lower body region.
4⃣Sukhasana cross stretching works on hips and lumbar region.
5⃣Malasana works on group of muscles in hips, groins and hamstrings which contribute in lower back flexibility.
6⃣Privritta malasana additionally works on external obliques.
7⃣Trikonasana gives lateral movement to the spine, here showing half a way bend in Trikonasana
8⃣Uttanasana is great for people with shortened backline of the body and massages abdominal organs too.
