10 reasons why you should practice Karate
1. Shaping life attitudes
Currently, the fashion for practicing mixed martial arts (MMA) is growing in the world. So, you may ask, "So why should we train Karate?"
Mainly because Karate is a "martial art". Its part is a philosophy that is to contribute to shaping the life attitudes of children, adolescents, and adults. By striving to improve Karate, we have a chance to develop self-confidence, learn concentration and peace, or persistence in pursuing a goal.
We assume that the application of the karate philosophy in everyday life will make you always try to be honest with yourself and others, honest with both the weak and the strong.
Every karate student must be familiar with the rules of the Dojo Kun Oath.
2. Impact on health
Even though Karate is considered an "injuries" type of sport, it is not entirely true. Karate has a positive effect on our health and condition. By training this type of sport, we strengthen our speed, endurance, and sense of eye-hand coordination. The trainings also affect the favourable condition of the body mass (weight) and the cardiovascular system, thus reducing the chance of a heart attack by over 60%.
3. Regardless of age
We can start the adventure with Karate at virtually any age. Although the greatest tangible successes are achieved by people training since childhood, it is still a sport with a low entry threshold and the positive effects of training can already be appreciated after a few weeks and months.
4. Greater resistance to stressful situations
The combination of different techniques rapidly develops and strengthens the mind, which also spreads to other areas of life.
5. Defend yourself and others in the event of an attack
Karate is an art of self-defence. It teaches how to use our anatomy in the most effective way with blocks or strikes, so that everyone can defend themselves regardless of the physiognomy of their body.
6. Improve your reflexes and agility
Although Karate is a martial art, its practice moves to other areas of our lives. You will learn to react quickly, move agile and keep your balance. In many cases, you can avoid an accident thanks to your reflexes and balance.
7. Increase your motivation, self-awareness, and discipline
Karate is a constant learning to be better, to strive for perfection by repeating exercises. By training Karate, you will increase your self-confidence and you will not be afraid to make life choices. The ability to self-control and motivate is very necessary at every stage of life.
8. Meet interesting people, make friends
Joint trainings, trips to tournaments or camps build a strong sense of camaraderie.
9. Workouts have a positive impact on academic performance
According to scientific research, physical activity has a large positive impact on academic results.
10. You do not need much to train
Karate can be practiced almost anywhere, although it is better in the training room (Dojo). It is not a demanding sport in terms of equipment. All you need is Karatega (a white outfit consisting of a sweatshirt tied at the waist with a belt and wide trousers) and pads. Although Karatega at the beginning of the adventure with Karate is not required. Such accessories will last for several years and cost little.

Good luck making the right decisions!

He was accompanied by his daughter Grace.

Kihon - in Japanese it means the basics - in Karate it is the training of basic techniques, postures and single sets of techniques, usually practiced in the air, with or without the participation of a partner. The same techniques are practiced and repeated dozens of times during each training, when we train for several years, only after hard and long-lasting training a given technique can be properly mastered, in a way “automated”. This is what the kihon is for.
Just like a house is built from the foundations, not from a chimney, in karate, in order to go to Kumite, or the essence of skills, you first need to learn the basics, or kihon.
If we were to treat karate as a whole, it would consist of three inseparable, interpenetrating elements: kihon, kata, kumite.
It is said that the heart of karate is combat, and the heart of combat is kihon, or basic techniques. This digression is necessary given that most students entering karate practice expect to practice fighting an opponent in their first class, and the tedious repetition of thrusts, blocks and kicks in one static position is considered a necessary evil.....http://bushindo.pl/elementy-treningu-karate/kihon/
