WOW Cyclothon - Team Sabre Iceland

Rodrigo is biking up to Krisuvik. They are getting everyone ready to do the last 20k.

I've been told by the team that I have a little bit too much faith in them and that there is no way they can bike 80 km in 2hrs. So I'm revising the estimated time for support crew at the finish line to 18:30.

While team A takes the road team B fills their tanks in Selfoss for the final battle!!

Look at those heros!!! Hyped for the last A to B changeover in Selfoss! 80km to go. We should see in crossing the finish line in about 2 hours!!!

For those who plan to be at the Finish line when the team arrives, keep a good eye on this page below. The speed has increased quite a bit the last hours so they might be arriving earlier than we expected at first. Right now they have about 110km to the Finish so it could be around 18:00 that they arrive depending one wind and power left in thighs.

The guys are getting closer to home. The rain has stopped, they have strong tail wind and speed has increased quite a bit. Everyone is already picturing them selves crossing the finish line and stopped being tired.
Go and get them, show them how it's done guys!!!
Keep in mind though that you should never sacrifice style for speed!!

We are expecting the team to arrive at the Finish line sometime around 18 tonight (+/- 1hr). For those that are interested in celebrating with them when the arrive (which they totally deserve!!!), a map of the Finishing area is below. The arriving teams will be cycling down Krýsuvíkurvegur and then turn towards Hvaleyrarvatn. In order for the rest of us to go the Finish line, you have to take Kaldárselsvegur to Hvaleyrarvatn and park there. Then walk towards the Finish line.

To be sure you don‘t miss them, keep an eye on this page below. You will see the exact time of their last exchange which is 20km before the finish line. That should give you at least 30mins to get the finish line before they reach it.
