‼️ 4 DAYS TO GO!
- Sebastiano Argiolas defense of the UBO International Super Welterweight title against compatriot Simone Buremi is 4 days way.
On June 13 in Narcao, Italy, the fight is the main event of a card promoted by ASD Bazooka Boxing Gym.
📄 History In Chile! Marcial Carrion UBO World Welterweight Champion!
- Marcial “Chay” Carrion made Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) history on Saturday night, June 6, when he won the vacant UBO World Welterweight title by narrowly defeating excellent Argentinian Tomas Irusta in Iquique, Chile.
Twin brother Patricio Carrion is the reigning UBO world Super Lightweight ruler, and its the first time two brothers win UBO world titles. Being twins, and holding the world titles at the same time, makes it even more special.
But Carrion had to work very hard for it, as Irusta had come to win and put on a great performance. It was two warriors ready to go through fire to become world champion in front of a lively crowd outdoors at the Arena Cavancha.
Both boxers had their moments in the fight, and it was back and forth from round one through round twelve, with many of the rounds close, and with the crowd on their feet cheering and paying tribute to the men entertaining them in the ring.
After twelve fast-paced and exiting rounds, judges Victor Ramos and Francisco Buguento both scored it 115-113 for Carrion, while judge Mario Rojas had it all even at 114-114, making it a Majority Decision for the home-man. Its fair to say it was one who could have gone either way.
The new UBO World Welterweight champion improved his professional record to 22-1 (6), while Irusta suffered his first defeat and drops to 9-1-2 (3). The Argentinian proved his worth in every way, and a rematch would be deserved and should be a real possibility.
The fight headlined a card promoted by TC2 Boxing.
- When Tunal Academy, in association with Dream Boxing, presents Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) championship boxing on June 14 in Istanbul, Turkey, it will go out live world-wide on The Global Home of Boxing: DAZN.
In one of the featured bouts of a massive event at the Bostanci Show Center, undefeated home-town favourite Kenan Guzel will face Edem Zeyraliyev from Uzbekistan for the vacant UBO Inter-Continental Super Middleweight title.
Both boxers enter their first professional title fight with similar records, Guzel (29) being 6-0 (5) and Zeyraliyev (28) bringing a 6-1 (5) ledger.
A pro since April of 2025, it will only be Guzel´s second fight in his home-country, with three of his outings taking place in Thailand and two in Pakistan.
Zeyraliyev made his paid debut in 2019 in Russia, but was out of action for over four years before returning in March of 2024 when he suffered his sole defeat, a split decision, to 3-0 Shokhrukh Uskanboev in Uzbekistan.
Since then he has put together five straight victories, all by stoppage, on home soil, and travels to Turkey with one thing in mind: make it six straight and take his career to a whole new level.
It will be “Baptism By Fire” for both men, facing their best opponent to date in front of a lively Istanbul crowd, and knowing that boxing fans from all over the world will tune in.
- In three days, June 5, at The Gallery Meydan in Dubai, locally-based Aleksandra Sitnikova and Rani Devi will square off for the vacant UBO female M.E.N.A. Welterweight title, headlining a show promoted by BATL Promotions.
🥇🏆 May 2026 UBO Boxer Of The Month: Remsey Trujillo!
- Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) Inter-Continental Super Welterweight champion Remsey Trujillo is the UBO Boxer of The Month for May, 2026.
On the first day of the month, in Guatemala City, Guatemala, Trujillo became UBO champion when he won every round on all three judges cards against tough Mexican Edgar Medina Arjona.
It was supposed to be the 20-year-old´s toughest assignment since turning pro in October of 2024, but he made it look easy, with a mature and controlled performance over ten rounds.
Taking his undefeated record to 12-0-1 (9), Trujillo is ready for bigger tests, and it will be very interesting to see where his career is at the end of this year.
He could be on his way towards establishing himself as one of Guatemala´s biggest sports stars.
📄 Peruvian Star Eduardo “El Chino” Ajito Fights For UBO World Title!
- Peruvian star Eduardo “El Chino” Ajito (25-2-1, 13 KOs) will fight for the vacant Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) world Flyweight title on July 11.
Almost ten years after making his professional debut, Ajito takes on an opponent still to be confirmed in the main event of a show in his home-town Callao.
A former WBA regional titlist at Light Flyweight, the 37-year-old has only lost in two bids for WBO championships, and is unbeaten in his last thirteen bouts.
If successful on July 11, Ajito will be only the third professional world boxing champion from his country, following Kina Malpartida (WBA Super Featherweight, 2009-2012) and Alberto Rossel (WBA Interim Light Flyweight, 2009-2014).
This will be the first world championship fight in Peru since Rossel made his final defense in March of 2014, making it a hugely anticipated event.
🌹 R. I. P. Richard Nwoba, Goodbye To A UBO Pioneer!
- The Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) is saddened to learn about the recent passing of a true UBO pioneer, Richard Nwoba. He was only 51 years old.
Born in Nigeria, Nwoba based himself in Egypt where he boxed professionally between 2002 and 2009, establishing a fine 14-2 (10) record.
On March 3, 2005 in Giza, Nwoba promoted the first UBO title fight ever, when Ahmed Mustafa stopped fellow countryman Ramadhan Mahmoud to win the inaugural world Super Welterweight title.
Six months later, Nwoba became a UBO champion himself when he won the International Light Heavyweight title, also in Giza.
Long before anyone else started thinking about big boxing shows in Giza, Nwoba and his partners did so much for boxing in that city and Egypt in general, staging regular cards and championship fights.
He genuinely loved boxing, and Egypt, and will forever be missed by the Egyptian boxing community, and by his family and many fiends in boxing all over the world.
Rest in Peace Champion, Warrior, Friend!

⚡️🔙 UBO Flashback: When Abel Mendoza Claimed UBO Crown In Colombia.
- On April 29, 2023, undefeated American Abel Mendoza won the vacant Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) Inter-Continental Lightweight title in Cali, Colombia.
34-0 (25) at the time, the 28-year-old from Texas had been a pro for over seven years already, and won WBC and ABF regional titles.
In what turned out to be an entertaining scrap, Mendoza stopped late replacement for a replacement, Eduard Gonzalez, who gave it everything he had before capitulating at the start of round five.
Since winning the UBO title, Mendoza has continued his rise and improved to 44-0 (32), but is still waiting for his shot at world honours.
He went on to win WBA Fedebol titles at Super Lightweight and Lightweight later in 2023, and most recently he captured the NABA USA Lightweight title when he out-scored Javier Rodriguez (17-3-3) on May 16 in Dallas.
While he has somewhat gone under the radar for years as an independent, it looks like he is finally closing in on the very big fights.
Last October Mendoza announced that he had signed with TGB Promotions and Premier Boxing Champions, headed by Al Haymon, and the Rodriguez fight was his first as a TGB/PBC fighter.
