A special guest at our Alberici Cup: Felix Vogg Sporthorses, current World No. 13 in FEI Eventing, making his very first appearance at Sporting Club Monterosa! 🌟🐎
He stopped by our microphones to share his thoughts on the venue, highlighting the excellent footing and noting that the ground out in the woods under the trees was simply "perfect". This edition featured a beautiful track designed by Konstantin Georgiev () who did a fantastic job making the most of the Club's natural spaces. Looking towards our future goals, Felix also shared his high regard for the returning of Monterosa's official Chief de Piste, Pierre Le Goupil (), calling his signature the absolute best address you can have in the sport.
Since it was his first time competing in Monterosa, we were incredibly proud to hear him say that he knows the venue has already improved so much since March, and seeing our future plans, he is entirely sure it will improve even more.
It was a highly successful weekend for him: competing with 3 horses in 3 different classes, he took home two first places and one second place. And regarding that silver... while he might not openly admit it was pure strategy, he laughingly tells us that once he found out the prize for second place was actually our famous local Igor Gorgonzola cheese, he was quite happy to secure that exact spot just so he could win it! 🧀😂
