Dear Nole Djokovic
I know what it means to keep competing even when your body isn’t on your side…
I know what it means to keep going despite physical pain, the kind that leaves you breathless and makes every step a challenge…
I know what it feels like to finish a training session (or a stage) holding your breath through the pain, with tears streaming down your face…
People will never truly understand your joy when you achieve a result that may be below what you’re capable of without the weight of everything you’ve had to carry.
They see the final score, the ranking, the medal, or the outcome.
There is no “notes” section in the rankings.
They don’t tell the story behind it.
And sometimes, that story is worth far more than the number next to your name.
Sometimes, victory is having the courage and strength to keep going despite everything.
Because every now and then, the most important achievement isn’t where you finish—it’s the fact that you showed up, fought your battle, and kept moving forward.
And maybe, without even realizing it, your journey will inspire someone else who is facing the very same struggle…. Like me !
Don’t give up!
You have been an inspiration to me, and you will continue to be.
With deep respect and admiration,
Barbara
