FESTA's Shakespeare summer camp - campo estivo

Dear Festa Kids, Parents, and Friends!

Since our incredible performance of Hans Christian Andersson, I have been
thinking (hard) about what comes next! What haven't we really done
before? What would be important to those of you who are thinking of a
professional acting career, and still amazing fun for a first time festa kid.

I would like our next project to be all about audio. Audio Books, Audio Podcasts, and Radio Plays; developed together and recorded and put on line, every other week.

The possibilities are endless. A Kids News Podcast from our younger, in-the-know performers.
The Grim Fairy Tales, or Edgar Allen Poe might be more to your liking? Commercial announcements, for our favorite books, podcasts, or products. We can record any book we like, as long as it was published more than a 100 years ago; and we have kids who have told me that they are interested in sound and sound design - and we have a lot of kids who play instruments.

This course will run the rest of the year. And who knows - if it is successful, we can keep on going. Not every kid will be called to every session... So though it may take some time, it won't take away all our Saturday's (well, mine... but not yours.

In order to do this, we will need to find a recording studio who can host us. I need to know how many of you are interested in this project, so I can plan accordingly and understand if we can financially do it!

Skills taught in this class: scriptwriting and editing, storytelling, voice coaching, acting for radio, productuworking with microphones - and even a bit of social media marketing.

FESTA is currently in production with Oliver Twist. We are a few kids short, so we welcome late enrollments. This is the REAL version of Oliver Twist, (not the sugary disney version) - the meaty, gritty, dystopic steam punk Dickens at his finest - so if you've a kid who is interested, we'd welcome him or her!

Due to FESTA adding to it's family - we will be taking a camp sabbatical this summer. Please watch our pages and site for information on our Fall classes.
