We approached the city with a clear objective — designing a high-level riding experience within one of the most complex urban environments.

What initially felt restrictive revealed new possibilities through careful scouting. Routes took shape across cycle paths, sidewalks, short stair sections — adapting where needed to maintain flow.

Beyond the density, another landscape emerges.
A city built on islands and rising terrain — and just beyond the urban core, vast natural reserves that create a constant alternation between dense city and tropical vegetation.

Riding becomes a way to connect these layers — from the vertical city to the quieter roads beyond, where the pace changes but the experience continues.

The final days unfold in the Maasai Mara.

Here, riding feels different. The ground holds firm beneath the wheels, the horizon stays level, and wildlife crosses the same tracks we follow. Nothing feels staged or distant — everything happens in the same open space.

There is room for both movement and pause. One morning, the bike gives way to a game drive at first light, before returning to the saddle.

By the last sunrise, the rhythm is familiar. The Mara stays behind, but the way of riding it remains.
