On Sunday two Scots - Billy Gilmour and Scott McTominay - got closer to winning their first trophy in Italy with Napoli, a feat completed by Lewis Ferguson (Coppa Italia) and none other than the Caledonian Braves, who triumphed last week on the shores of Lake Iseo!

Adam Summerton knows all about it and in Sunday night’s commentary he made sure all TNT viewers were up to speed

A moment of brilliance that lit up the tournament.
The Best Goal of the 2024/25 Fenix Trophy goes to FC United of Manchester’s Matt Grivosti for his stunning strike in the match against Fans United a goal that combined precision, power, and perfect timing.
Grivosti was officially awarded at the finals in Iseo

Best Goalkeeper Award: Grant Shenton🧤

Throughout the 2024/25 Fenix Trophy, Grant Shenton of proved to be a crucial presence between the posts.
From the group stage to the final weekend in Iseo, his reflexes, composure, and leadership helped Avro stay competitive in every match.
With a string of standout saves and consistent performances, he was deservedly named Best Goalkeeper of the tournament.

Caledonian Braves

Not only the first 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Scottish club to enter the Fenix Trophy but now the first Scottish club to go and win the competition and at the first attempt too, what an achievement.

Today at Lake Iseo in Italy they defeated reigning champions F.C United of Manchester 3-1 in the Final.

We attended their first match of the competition at Alliance Park against German side Buchholzer who they dispatched 10-0 on the night and 15-1 on aggregate.

A truly remarkable achievement. At least there is one Scottish club winning a European trophy.
