Gery Cardinale met with Ralf Ragnick talking about the sporting director position at AC Milan. The meeting lasted around 6 hours and more than likely Ragnick will become the sporting director of Milan before the start of the World Cup. If so Glasner is the favourite to take over the Head Coach position and Cardinale will give full support to Ragnick to create the team. The problem is Ibrahimovic. MilanNews reported that Zlatan is not satisfied as he wanted to take over that position in Milan and bring players that he wants and have full power, this led to a huge argument between Cardinale and Zlatan, therefore Zlatan wasn’t present at the meeting with Ragnick. The main problem is that Cardinale cannot do anything to Zlatan. Zlatan invested his own money in RedBird and is now a co-owner of RedBird as well as a co-owner of AC Milan therefore Cardinale has no power to remove him. The only way that Zlatan would leave the team is if the ownership is changed which is very unlikely. So basically the problem in Milan was not Cardinale, Cardinale was supporting Milan financially but he had wrong people working with the money. This shouldn’t be a problem when it comes to bringing a Sporting Director but its worth a mention. Milan have to bring people in all vacant positions by the 15th of June or else Milan will get demoted to Serie C.

OFFICIAL: Arne Slot is willing to take the job at AC Milan!! The only problem right now is the direction/project of the new Milan. Slot has asked Cardinale to present him the project after which the dutchman will make his decision. Meeting scheduled early next week!!
