23rd Open Margonara International Race – April 25-26, 2026

This year, Leo and I made the exciting decision to participate in our very first radio-controlled boat race, and what an incredible experience it was! The event was nothing short of fantastic—amazing people, flawless organization, and unforgettable moments.

We had the pleasure of meeting talented Italian and international pilots, all sharing the same passion for the sport. Leo impressively secured 10th place in his very first race—an outstanding achievement!

I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone who made this possible:

Alessandro Cremona Radiocomandata and the FIM team for organizing such a seamless event;

Marka Racing is pleased to present its new innovative lateral sidewalls, specifically designed for 1/28 scale Mini-Z racing cars. These components represent a real leap forward in the industry, combining an elegant and refined design with top-level performance.
Marka Racing's lateral sidewalls stand out because they eliminate the need for screws, offering a clean and aerodynamic appearance—ideal for modeling enthusiasts seeking a product that is both aesthetically flawless and functional.
Made from a special reinforced plastic that is soft and flexible, these lateral sidewalls ensure excellent resistance to impacts and stresses during the most intense races. Light yet robust, they guarantee high performance and long-lasting durability, meeting the needs of drivers who seek reliability and high-level performance.
These lateral sidewalls are designed to fit perfectly onto Marka Racing wheels and serve to increase the diameter of the wheel rim edge. The final knife-shaped form of the lateral sidewall is the result of careful development about six months of testing and refinement.
This configuration represents an optimal balance between ground contact and maneuverability, delivering superior performance. During the design process, we carefully analyzed the relationship between the tip and the contact surface.
An excessively thin tip would have provided minimal contact, resulting in a highly directional car but limiting error correction, as well as controlled slipping when necessary. Conversely, a too-wide tip would have increased the contact surface excessively, reducing steering precision and promoting excessive sliding.
Through meticulous experimentation, we identified the ideal compromise: a lateral sidewall width that gives the vehicle impeccable directional accuracy while maintaining a slight slip capability that can be crucial in certain driving situations.
The result is a lateral sidewall that, once mounted on the wheel, significantly improves cornering stability, providing a precise, responsive driving experience with a natural feel. This innovation represents a significant step forward in the pursuit of high performance, combining technology and passion to deliver an exciting and reliable driving experience.

Replacement of the lateral sidewalls: Our kit includes two tools: the first is designed for precise and easy mounting of the lateral sidewalls onto the wheel, ensuring perfect adhesion and an impeccable aesthetic result; the second allows for easy removal.
For optimal performance, it is always recommended to use both tools during installation. This practice guarantees correct installation of the lateral sidewalls.
