PACKING LIST, EDITED.
- 2-3 bib shorts (rotate, trust your future self will thank you)
- Helmet (non-negotiable)
- Sunglasses (for speed + pretending you're not tired)
- Air Gilet (core wind protection is priceless + descents can humble you)
- 1 long-sleee lightweight layer (for descents, sun protection, existential chill)
- Sunscreen you will forget to reapply
- Confidence you will misplace and recover daily
AND: you will be given a summer jersey for the tour.
So that's one decison you don't need to make. The important kind.

FOOD STRATEGY FOR LONG RIDES
(learned the hard way)
- eat early (before mood decline)
- eat often (before decision-making declines)
- don't rely on ""I'll find something soon""
- always assume cafes are 20 minutes further than promised
