Like every year we are getting ready to go to the Italian Championship of the UIJJ.
One of the main goal of the competitive season, our participation again this year is massive, with over 40 athletes.

Athletic preparation, strategy and timing, that are the ingredients for a good performance.

Last week we took part in the IBJJF Milano International Open.
An international-level event where we focused on the Gi division, with 9 athletes competing.
The results were very positive:

This allowed us to finish 7th in the team rankings,
and 1st among the Italian academies.
Now the focus shifts to the next stops: Bologna Challenge, Master Europe in Barcelona, the Italian Championship in Jesolo, and finally Worlds
(with only one competitor, but for us that means a lot).

Last Friday we had a wonderful seminar at the Academy led by Denise Krahn.
Fluid sequences and extremely useful attacks.

He has great technical and athletic skills, but above all, incredible determination.

This year he decided to focus on one specific goal: qualifying for the AJP World Championship through the Travel Pack.

To achieve that, he needs to finish 1st in the ranking, and to leave nothing to chance he decided to chase it in two circuits:

Italy (currently 2nd)
Spain (currently 1st)

His latest results:

Gold in Rome, Valencia, Madrid, Seville, Bologna
Bronze in Pisa
