The dust has settled after the biggest weekend in grappling history!
ADCC and CJI ran alongside each other in Las Vegas, and the Draig team was proud to have make his second appearance at the ADCC World Championships in the -66kg division.
Ash received the prestigious invitation to compete at the event after two top-four placements at the European, African and Middle Eastern trials. The Welshman drew Brazilian standout Diego Pato in the first round, a match he would go on to drop by points after a few leglock exchanges and pass attempts from the top position.
On behalf of the whole team, we are incredibly proud of Ash for flying the flag on the biggest stage of grappling, always holding himself to the highest standards in victory and defeat.

Monday is here, and we're back with another edition of Meet the Team Monday. Today, we have the other half of the Wells brothers duo, 🐉
Sam is last week's feature, James' older brother. As mentioned previously, the two started in martial arts at a young age and have stuck with it until today, with Sam amassing 12 years of training ⏳
Like his brother, Sam has gone down the path of amateur MMA, debuting last year on in the Warehouse and making his second appearance in the octagon at the end of last year on 2. He also competes actively in BJJ and grappling competitions around the UK 🤼
He recently received his blue belt in BJJ from his head coach , this summer. Sam also holds the rank of black belt in karate, an art he practised during his earlier years 🥋
Today, Sam is one of the coaches at , but before his full-time involvement in the martial arts industry, he studied sports science in college and worked various retail jobs ☕
Now, with less than two weeks to go, Sam will be making his highly anticipated return to the MMA cage. Confident in his abilities and training, Sam already has his post-fight routine planned for when he walks away with the W 💪
He'll be aiming to put double digits on the pint counter, make a trip to Wind Street to drop some serious moves and then maybe turn £10 into a fortune on a fruity before going home 🍻

Meet the Team Monday returns, and this week, the spotlight is on one of our youngest members, James Wells 🐉
James makes up one-half of the infamous Wells brother duo. The two have been ingrained in martial arts from their early years, with James starting to train BJJ at the age of five before picking up MMA at thirteen. All of his training has been overseen by the team at , including , and , who also awarded him his blue belt last summer 🥋
Since then, James has etched his name into Welsh amateur MMA history, being the first athlete to represent Wales at all youth age groups and be on the first-ever youth team. His main achievements in martial arts include a bronze medal at the World Championships, a silver medal at the Four Nations and a gold medal at the No-Gi Open 🥇 🥈 🥉
Today, James splits his time between his studies, training and working in a pub 🧑🎓
With over ten years of grappling experience, James is well known for his grappling abilities in the cage. His favourite technique when the fight hits the mat is a closed guard triangle. While standing, James' preferred striking combo is a left hook followed by a straight right 🥊
With plenty of potential behind his name, James is one to watch on the amateur Welsh MMA circuit ⭐
