🏁 What a weekend! An amazing experience, three intense days.

In the end, there’s nothing more rewarding than hearing that you’ve given a hand to phenomenally drivers who drive at impressive speeds down hilly roads, against time, opponents and challenging themselves.

And then see a bit of Italy fighting for the first places in the standings.

Congratulations to everyone and THANK YOU for allowing me to participate a this great adventure of yours!

YOU ONLY THROW TENNIS BALLS

The throwing of balls is just the tip of the iceberg. Yes because behind and inside these balls there is a multitude of things, situations, emotions that no one sees, no one knows, no one imagines.

Everyone can throw balls (the tip of the iceberg) but not everyone can do this:

* Periodization of training according to the race calendar (pre-season, in-season, recovery phases)
* Cardiovascular endurance training in simulated race conditions
* Development of tolerance to neuromuscular fatigue
* Respiratory training and effort management in the cockpit
* Training of reaction times and decision-making speed
* Development of concentration under high cognitive load
* Eye-hand coordination and visual-spatial skills
* Stress and pressure management techniques in the race
* Monitoring and analysis of physiological data (HR, HRV, lactate, workload)
* Use of wearable tools and performance tracking software
* Integration of physical data with telemetry data and pilot feedback
* Detailed reporting for teams, engineers and management
* Planning recovery protocols (post-race and between sessions)
* Regeneration techniques: mobility, stretching, manual therapy
* Sleep management and optimization of circadian rhythms

January - December: a long journey together, started in the Puglia land and ended on the other side of the world 🇦🇪.

12 intense, hectic months, made of races, trips, laughter, training, difficult moments (very few), podiums and victories (many).

How to summarize all this? Just with one word: THANK YOU!!!

Primi tre mesi dell’anno passati via velocemente, su e giù per l’Italia con qualche puntatina in Europa.
Se il buongiorno si vede dal mattino, posso dire che è stato un buon inizio. Nulla è ancora deciso, tutto ancora da costruire ma sempre più convinto che… Il meglio deve ancora arrivare!!!

The first three months of the year passed quickly, up and down Italy with a few points in Europe.
Without a doubt I can say that it was a good start. Nothing has been decided yet, everything still to be built but more and more convinced that...
The best is yet to come!!!

Da ieri faccio parte dell'Elenco Formatori della Formazione Olimpica CONI 2023/24 nell'area Preparazione Fisica.
Collaborerò insieme ad altri professionisti selezionati in tutta Italia (preparatori fisici, nutrizionisti, psicologi, fisioterapisti, ecc)per cercare di fornire allo Sport Italiano il nostro contributo per i prossimi giochi olimpici e quelli futuri. Onorato ed orgoglioso di partecipare a questo progetto.

Mobilità articolare è sinonimo di flessibilità, l’una è imprescindibile rispetto all’altra. Per mobilità articolare si intende la capacità di eseguire i movimenti con la massima ampiezza articolare possibile.
Spesso pensiamo che allenare la mobilità sia noioso e inutile ma a lungo andare ci permette di salvaguardare le nostre articolazioni.
Pensiamo, per esempio, al warm up, dove mobilizzare le articolazioni gradualmente ci permette di preparare e vascolarizzare  il complesso osteotendineo per affrontare la fase centrale dell’attività in maniera più efficace.
Avere un buon range di movimento articolare, soprattutto negli atleti, è un'arma fondamentale per avere un’azione diretta e positiva sulla performance.
