From December 5–8, 2024, Milan, Italy, hosted the final partners’ meeting of the initiative, an Erasmus+ co-funded project empowering sport organizations to prioritize mental care for young athletes.

This groundbreaking initiative focuses on equipping young football players in Bulgaria, Italy, and Slovenia with the tools to thrive mentally and physically. Representatives from BSDA, L’ORMA, and Endorfin came together to review achievements and discuss the future of mental health integration in youth sports.

Highlighting its impact, SMS was proudly showcased at EUSport LAB, an international forum for sports innovation, inspiring collaboration and new initiatives across Europe.

⚽ On October 2nd, 2024, coaches, students, and young football players from "Vasil Levski" NSA School kicked off their training sessions in support of the Strong Mind for Success initiative. Participants received specially developed handbooks to raise awareness about mental health among young athletes. The SMS project, co-funded by Erasmus+, focuses on supporting mental wellbeing and development in sports, involving partners from Bulgaria, Italy, and Slovenia.

The European Week of Sport , held annually between September 23 and 30, celebrated its 10th edition in 2024, offering Sofia's residents and guests the chance to be part of Europe’s biggest sports celebration! 🎉

As always, the Bulgarian Sports Development Association (BSDA) actively participated with information stands at the Sports Village and Night on September 28th in front of the National Palace of Culture.

One of the key initiatives presented was Strong Mind for Success, a project focused on building the capacity of sports organizations to raise mental health awareness and support young athletes. 💪🧠
