Jun, my dearest. You taught me so much. You taught me to harness the winds of the North, and the Beast inside my very soul.

Sometimes practice is made on fanart. One of my favourite games, or possibly THE favourite being Companion of Darkness. The interaction between the two sisters are so sweet and endearing, so I tried to catch an imaginary moment with my work.

Most characters call to you, in an inescapable way. It's a magnetic pull, impossible to resist. When they take their final shape, they tell you their story, and pieces click into place, connecting them to other characters. Like Nina, trying to be girly even when carrying her favourite knife.
Nina, Okami's protégé, spirit Beast calling to spirit Beast, found weak and bloodied and beyond lost in a war zone. Nina, nurtured back to health and to sanity by the gruff, grumpy soon-to-be Sestra. Two wild souls fates to meet and be like sisters, under the Ruthless Heaven.

It's in a merciless fantasy world that the characters have to live, fight, survive. Only the strong, iron willed, single minded individuals will have a chance to prove to the Ruthless Heavens that they are worthy of advancing in power, and see another dawn rise.

And so a new adventure began. Many characters sprouted from the imagination, others demanded to be brought alive. Master Avi was born relatively fast, once we met. A powerful martial artist, with a mysterious past, apparently retired to teach her "younglings".
