My final piece from Breathing Roots — a hybrid residency I hosted last year. A rite of passage, a celebration of time, a remembrance of creation.

One day, when I am old, I will share these artifacts with my family. I will have an archive showing I was here. I made it through heartbreak, and lost friendships. Lived life unconventionally and traveled far and wide. Collecting, gathering, sensing Truths.

On my last days in Sicily I took the pups 8 km into the valley and left prayers for the land.

It held me, and cracked me, and put me back together again ———
