After months of confirming and rescheduling exchange dates, it has finally happened: we moved out of the house today.
In the next couple of days, we'll be boarding the ferry and setting off on our road trip, with Italy as our destination.
I’ll probably be fairly quiet for the next couple of weeks, but watch this space for updates.
This isn’t goodbye. As I’m writing this, the only word that feels fitting for what I want to say to you all is Namaste.
I’ve just realised that I gradually stopped saying it at the end of classes, perhaps because I was worried it might sound like cultural appropriation, and replaced it with a simple “thank you”. I think I’m going to change that. It’s a beautiful word.
So, thank you for practising with me and for teaching me. Not just my treasured teachers, but every one of you who came to class, I have learned so much from you all.
And Namaste. I salute you.
Interestingly, salute is also the Italian word associated with health and wellbeing. So I wish you all health, prosperity, and growth on your yoga journey and throughout your lives.
Until we meet again, Namaste.
The light in me bows to the light in you.
