🇬🇧 A sensational performance in London! For the first time, a man has run under two hours in the marathon: the new world record belongs to the 31 years old kenian Sebastian Sawe, with an astonishing 1:59:30.
Sawe won the 47th RomaOstia Half Marathon in 2022, closing in a fantastic 0:58:02. ““Today is my second race in Europe, and the conditions were fantastic - he said after the RomaOstia- I’m happy and excited about this result. From today, incredible horizons open up for me.”

Sawee ha vinto la 47ª Mezza Maratona RomaOstia nel 2022, chiudendo in un fantastico 0:58:02. “Oggi è stata la mia seconda gara in Europa e le condizioni erano fantastiche”, ha dichiarato dopo la RomaOstia. “Sono felice ed emozionato per questo risultato. Da oggi si aprono per me orizzonti incredibili.”

🇬🇧China, Chongquing Marathon: Chinese athlete Xueji Sheng was about to cross the finish line when a race official intervened, blocking him and carrying him to the finish line, while the exhausted athlete tried in vain to resist. The reason? The official had mistaken him for a half-marathon runner! Result: Sheng crossed the finish line shortly afterward and the official was suspended 😅
🇮🇹Cina, maratona di Chongquing: l’atleta cinese Xueji Sheng sta per tagliare il traguardo quando interviene un ufficiale di gara bloccandolo e spostandolo di peso fino all’uscita, mentre lui, esausto, tenta invano di opporsi. La motivazione? L’ufficiale lo aveva scambiato per un runner della mezza maratona! Risultato: Sheng ha tagliato il traguardo poco dopo e l’ufficiale è stato sospeso 😅
