The European Academy Rigan Machado, in collaboration with The Academy Rome, ASI Jiu Jitsu Italia, and RAPID Academy, is proud to present an exclusive event dedicated to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioners, instructors, competitors, and enthusiasts of all levels.

The seminar will be led by Grand Master Rigan Machado, 9th Degree Red Belt, 8-time Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu World Champion, and one of the pioneers responsible for the worldwide growth of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. As the instructor of countless world champions, elite athletes, law enforcement professionals, military personnel, and Hollywood celebrities, Grand Master Machado is recognized as one of the most influential figures in the history of the art.

Throughout the four training sessions, participants will explore the technical details, concepts, strategies, and principles that have made the Machado system internationally respected.

A Special Guest: Professor Antonio La Salandra

Joining Grand Master Rigan Machado will be Professor Antonio La Salandra, 6th Degree Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, **European Director of the Rigan Machado European Academy**, and one of Grand Master Machado's longest-serving European students.

With more than forty years of martial arts experience, 9th Degree Black Belt in Ju-Jitsu, Founder of So Sento Ryu Ju Jitsu Full Contact, President of the World Organization of Self Defence (W.O.S.D.), and instructor for numerous Police Agencies, Military Units, and Special Operations Forces, Professor La Salandra is internationally recognized for his expertise in both martial arts and tactical training.

His extensive experience in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and real-world operational applications will provide participants with a unique perspective that perfectly complements the Machado methodology.

Today is a special day.
With deep gratitude and respect, I want to congratulate my Master, Grand Master Rigan Machado, on achieving the 9th degree red belt — a milestone that represents a lifetime dedicated to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, knowledge, and the growth of others.
Being among his senior students is a tremendous honor for me. My journey, as a 6th degree black belt and European coordinator, has been shaped not only by his technique, but above all by his values: loyalty, perseverance, and humility.
I have also had the rare and meaningful privilege of being among the few who, in recent years, have still had the opportunity to roll with him as a student — an experience I carry with deep respect and pride.
But beyond the Master, today I celebrate the man. The friend. The guide.

The third session of the Rigan Machado / So Sento R.A.P.I.D. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Coaching Course took place today at The Academy Rome, an international training center of excellence. This program continues to stand out in the European panorama for its teaching quality, methodological structure, and authoritative technical direction.
The course was led by Professor Antonio La Salandra, an official 6th-degree black belt recognized by Grand Master Rigan Machado and European Director of the Rigan Machado BJJ Association. His decades of experience in teaching operational and martial arts disciplines is establishing an innovative and highly effective training standard.
A unique teaching approach: logical, progressive, applicable
What makes this course radically different from traditional coaching programs is its perfect teaching structure, designed to transfer skills through a logical learning sequence that combines theory, practice, and real-world application.
The training model integrates:

Presented sequentially, with attention to the most effective transitions.
