7:30 PM: Meetup and welcome.

8:00 PM: Start! A scenic 5km run at an easy pace.

Don’t feel like running? Join our dedicated walking group!

9:00 PM: Back to Jo&Joe for the legendary Aperigladio aperitivo.

The big day is almost here! To shake off those pre-race jitters and get your bearings, Salomon — a global leader in trail and road running — invites all runners to an exclusive pre-race event.

SALOMON and we at Rome by Run will guide you through the streets of the Eternal City for a Saturday morning dedicated to sport and conviviality.

📍The Venue: Jo&Joe Rome
Join us on Saturday, March 21st at the stunning Joandjoe_roma (Via delle Quattro Fontane, 113). This unique venue is a converted monastery located in Rione Monti, Rome’s very first and oldest district, and undoubtedly one of its most charming.

📃The Schedule
👉10:30 AM: Meet and greet. A bag drop service is available if you need to change.
👉11:00 AM: Start of the Salomon Shakeout Run. A 5km scenic jog set to a great soundtrack. We’ll scout the most important spots for Sunday: the starting corrals, the bag drop-off zone, and the finish line. You'll know exactly where to go on race morning—no stress, just focus!

🍝The Pasta Party
After the run, we’ll head back to the hostel’s beautiful courtyard for some carb-loading.

🦅Early Bird: Salomon is offering a free pasta party to the first 50 people who sign up via Eventbrite (you'll receive an ID wristband upon arrival).

The Route: About 1 hour of easy running through the streets of the historic center.

Car: We recommend parking in the Terme di Caracalla area (Via di Valle delle Camene), just a few minutes' walk from the meeting point.

Starting from Jo&Joe with music, photos and festive treats.

There’s a magical moment in Rome, when the sun has just begun to light up the cobblestones and the monuments slowly awaken, before the city slips into its usual frenzy. That’s exactly where our adventure begins.

Running Tour Rome 2025: Ottobrata Monticiana with Rome by Run Discover Rome at dawn with the Ottobrata Monticiana running tour: 5 km through the Colosseum, the Fora and the Capitoline Hill. Finish with breakfast and a free buff for all participants.

Are you in Rome and love running? Join us for a special evening group run in one of the city’s most scenic green spots – Parco della Caffarella!

💡 Bring your headlamp! We’ll be running inside the park as the sun goes down.

We’ll enjoy a short and friendly run together, perfect for all paces and levels. After we return to the entrance, get ready for a refreshing WATERMELON PARTY, with cold water and beer for everyone – a true Roman summer tradition!
