Breaking News: GasGas makes official entry into MotoGP with Tech3!!!

There is a new manufacturer represented in MotoGP. GasGas will partner with Tech3 next season, although this does not mean they will build their own bike - it is essentially a designation for marketing purposes.

The renowned race-winning crew will see their GASGAS branded machinery in the hands of Pol Espargaro, with a second rider to be confirmed soon.

As for the TBC second seat, Remy Gardner might be staying with the Herve Poncharal managed team for 2023, but other scuttlebutt suggests that Miguel Oliveira is first in-line for that second seat, which would leave Remy Gardner on the outer…

GASGAS found fame in Trials and then Enduro quickly transformed into motocross, supercross and rally success in recent years since the KTM take-over, with a comprehensive foundation of off-road production bikes and now – after tasting spoils in in both Moto3 and Moto2 classes- the brand is ready for the next frontier; the pinnacle of road racing.

Marquez to undergo further arm surgery, set to miss most of 2022!!!

Marc Marquez will undergo further surgery on his injured right arm following Sunday’s Italian Grand Prix, the Spaniard set to miss several races as he recovers.

The six-time premier class champion has elected to go under the knife for the fourth time – set to be undertaken at the Mayo Clinic, Minnesota in the USA – in order to try and give him greater mobility while riding his RC213-V – a process that can hopefully restore his ability to maximise his machinery once again.

Marquez revealed in a press conference after qualifying 12th at Mugello on Saturday that he would jetting off to the USA after the Italian GP to have the operation before returning home to Barcelona so that he can recover, though admitted this will “keep me away from competition for a while.”

“Unfortunately, I have to take a break from the 2022 season that will keep me away from competition for a while,” said Marquez.

“Personally, I have the maximum motivation and enthusiasm to continue working and to make the effort to return to compete at the highest level.”

With Marquez’s recovery time set to be assessed by his medical team – based in Madrid – it is likely Honda test rider Stefan Bradl will take his place in most if not all events he will be forced to miss.
