A New Step in Our Journey 🏐
In 2018, we began our journey with a clear vision – to create a community connecting women through sport, values, and professional activity.
Since then, The Friendship League has grown into a meaningful framework for players, teams, and initiatives both in Israel and internationally.
Today, we are excited to share another significant milestone in our development – joining an international family and entering a new chapter in our journey 🌍
As part of our connection to the global Catch’n Serve Ball community, active in more than 40 countries worldwide, our organization is moving forward under a new name:
Catch’n Serve Ball Israel – The Friendship League
This change reflects our continued growth and development while strengthening international connections and creating new opportunities for players, coaches, and teams in Israel and around the world.
We are proud to continue building a professional, value-driven, and international framework while opening new doors for a shared future.
Thank you to everyone who has been part of our journey.

We need your support! 💪🏽
As part of the Erasmus+ project “MAMA – Mentoring Active Mothers through Awareness,” in which ICSBF is contributing its expertise, a survey is currently being conducted. The aim is to make mothers in sports more visible and to better understand their experiences—also a great opportunity to showcase our sport. 🤩🏐
Call to all mothers who play Catch’n Serve Ball in the league, as well as to active mothers in other sports within your network:
Please take a few minutes to complete the questionnaire and feel free to share the link. ❤️❤️❤️
Participation takes no more than 15 minutes, and the survey is also available in several languages. 🫶🏼

During a two-day seminar held as part of the CSIT Swimming Single Championships, key figures from NCS – a long-established and very large multi-sport club – received trainings. 🏐
Among them was President Huibert Brands himself. During an exhibition match, the spectators could hardly be held back and stormed the playing field. They were expertly supervised by Oskar Rosa, ICSBF Education Coordinator, who had travelled there together with President Elisabeth (Sissi) Speiser-Havel. 🙌🏽❤️
The new Netherland coaches immediately put what they had learnt into practice. Initial requests for collaboration have already been made. The grand finale was a presentation by NSC for politicians and stakeholders in the region to discuss further steps. Catch’n Server will definitely play an important role in combining sport and social engagement, promised Mayor Wethouder Leon Geilen. 💪🏽🤩
Finally, President Elisabeth Speiser-Havel presented the certificates to the seminar participants, who were still proudly wearing their new coach shirts. Meanwhile, Oskar Rosa was still coordinating the crowd during the games. 📢😄
Many thanks to President Huibert Brands, Harry Claassen, member, acting secretary and the entire NCS team for these wonderful days and the personal support! 💐🩷

Together with CSIT President Bruno Molea, ICSBF President Elisabeth Speiser was able to exchange views with European sports stakeholders and to promote Catch’n Serve Ball. 🥳
Also in attendance were Education Coordinator Oskar Rosa and Piotr Poplawski. 😊
The annual EU Sport Forum is the European Commission’s flagship event for shaping the future of sport at European level.
It is a unique platform for dialogue and collaboration among a broad range of stakeholders active within the sporting community.
The Forum provides a valuable opportunity to reflect together on the current trends, challenges and priorities shaping sport in Europe. 🌐
Interesting panel discussions, key topics including more women discussing for women’s sport. A beach volleyball tournament, which briefly switched to Catch’n Serve, and a wonderful gala dinner. 😋❤️
Due to the war situation and a pilots’ strike, not everyone was able to attend.
This made it possible to hold more in-depth discussions with, among others: Dr Georg Häusler, Director for Culture, Creativity and Sport at the European Commission (DG EAC); Luciano di Fonzo, Deputy Head of the Erasmus Mundus and Sport Unit at the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA); the Lebanese Minister for Youth and Sport, Dr Nora Bayrakdarian; and even Glenn Micallef, the host and European Commissioner for Intergenerational Fairness, Youth, Culture and Sport. 💪🏽🏐
What’s more, we already knew each other from the previous year. A fantastic event organised by the EU Presidency! 🤩🫶🏼
The 2026 edition brought together representatives from European institutions, national ministries responsible for sport, European and international sports federations, Olympic committees, grassroots organisations, athletes, coaches and volunteers. 👏🏽
It covered a variety of topics, including
🏐 mental health in sport: pressure and resilience
🏐 removing barriers to women’s sporting success
🏐 integrity and investment in European sport
🏐 sport in the Mediterranean region
🏐 boosting solidarity and competitive balance in sport

JĒKABPILS HOSTS THE TWO-DAY INTERNATIONAL CATCH’N SERVE BALL TOURNAMENT “LŪSIJAS’ FEST ’26” 🏐💪🏽
On April 11–12, the Jēkabpils Sports Hall hosted the international Catch’n Serve Ball tournament “Lūsijas’ Catch’n Serve Ball FEST ’26”, which this year was held in Latvia for the first time as a two-day event. The competition brought together 16 teams from Latvia, Finland, and Lithuania, creating a warm and dynamic sporting atmosphere. 🫶🏼🏐🤩
The tournament stood out for its unique and unconventional competition format – teams played eight rounds using the Swiss system, with time-limited matches. This format placed special emphasis on every rally, as each point mattered. Participants noted that not knowing their next opponents until the end of each round added extra excitement. 🥳💐👏🏽

A FANTASTIC ATMOSPHERE, BRILLIANT SPORT, EXCITEMENT AND FUN! THAT WAS THE CSIT CATCH’N SERVE BALL CHAMPIONSHIPS 2026 IN FINLAND! 🏐🙏🏼🇫🇮
23 teams from 10 countries not only demonstrated their sporting spirit and fair play, but also contributed to the great atmosphere with their presence! 🤩🤩🤩
The standard of play varied widely. Highly experienced teams, some of whom had known each other for a long time, competed against one another, but they also played against teams that didn’t even have league experience in their own countries. Thanks to fair and friendly matches, however, no one was ‘taken down a peg’. 😉🫶🏼
Naturally, every ball and victory was fiercely contested, and then celebrated with the opposing team. 🔥🥳
