Passione a Pedali

It is time to do some workout again.

Second time finisher of ACT3 Belgium. This time was the hardest for me. I started very bad with painful legs and knees and lack of focus. I thought about scratching but as the wise men say: "Never take decision at night". So I stopped for 12 hours took a room in an hotel in Gemund and I restarted fresh the next morning at 6 am. My phone was not working due to the heavy rain so for almost 3 days I was not reachable. The course is demanding but this year was very tough due to the mud which made some trails very hard to ride or even walk. Of more than 100 participants we finished only in 35.
A great lesson and a great adventure. It did not go as I planned and as I did two years ago but considering the start for me it is a victory.

7) Riding almost no stop for 28 hrs (day and night)

🇮🇹 Ho finalmente trovato un momento per processare questa settimana di tour in Umbria come guida per uno dei gruppi di Julia . Momenti splendidi passati in una della regioni più verdi d'Italia, l'Umbria. Ospiti della Locanda del Gallo vicino Gubbio ho condiviso momenti con clienti/amici vecchi e nuovi e guide locali innamorate della loro terra. Ho cercato il più possibile di infondere la mia passione per questi luoghi e per il ciclismo lento ed esplorativo, cercando di far sentire tutti come parte di un piccolo mondo sospeso tra meraviglia, storia, arte e natura.
Cosa è per te il successo? è stata una delle domande durante il ritiro. Forse in questo momento per me è far star bene me stesso e le persone che stimo e che amo e che sono disposte ad apprezzare ed accettare la mia essenza con naturalezza.

🇬🇧 I finally found a moment to process this week's tour in Umbria as a guide for one of Julia's groups . Wonderful moments spent in one of Italy's greenest regions, Umbria. As a guest at the Locanda del Gallo near Gubbio, I shared unforgettable moments with old and new clients/friends and local guides in love with their land. I tried as much as possible to instil my passion for these places and for slow and exploratory cycling, trying to make everyone feel part of a small world suspended between wonder, history, art and nature.
What is success for you? was one of the questions during the retreat. Maybe right now for me it is making myself and the people I respect and love and who are willing to appreciate and accept my essence naturally.
